Gotta Go, Pools on Fire

Ran ZG last night when Jasperjade and Hatestoheal in group last night, waited nearly an hour for the queue. Hates dropped out since it was very late by the time it popped with “gotta go pools on fire” (I love him, hilarious) and Jasper took a lot of flak for doing between 4-7k dps during the whole run. They outrolled me on a nice ring I wanted to, and I ended up with healer shoulders that were unfortunately still an upgrade.

Jasper did some arguing with the other person busting on their dps, and incredibly didn’t get kicked out of the group doing only 6k dps on Jin’do. The run went well overall though.

Losing gear to a pug

We ran BOT last night and with some former members like that Enig hunter and Truii tank, got down Cho’gall. SJ lost his shoulders to Enig and it’s always lame losing gear to a pug, but, we haven’t had a full guild run in ages.

On a side note on my shaman I finally saw Deathwing, and he didn’t kill me directly, but I ran into his fire, did not die, but got the achievement. I finished all the quests in Arathi and the giant stone guy that used to path all over the highlands, appears to now be stationary. The lesser bloodstone ore that required mining, to finish one of the quests is gone too. I remember being lucky I took mining on my mage, so I could do that quest, but now the nodes are gone and you don’t need it at all .

Summer raiding blues

Been playing a shaman lately, which I’m not going to document here since I’m trying to zip through the levels, but I noticed down the road from Lakeshire in Redridge Mountains, the orc raiders that use to hide behind several trees out there to jump unsuspecting travelers, are no longer there. I got jumped MANY a times by those on my priest and mage, and I sort of miss it.

The raid for tomorrow isn’t looking that good. We have like 6 people on the list, not everyone accepted either. The list of online guildies has been sparse during the day as well. I’m afraid I really can’t contribute to bringing anyone to the raid since everyone I know already has regular raiding teams. No one is providing the seafood feasts at our raids, and I’m not being compensated for putting down cauldrons. Summer time gaming blues maybe?

Called it

Early yesterday I predicted that we would lose Arkwin and Ith today, and we did.  At around 7:30 only a few people for the raid were on, and at 8 we were still missing a number of people, and had to try to pug which I knew would greatly displease the great and mighty Arkwin.  We got in BoT with a full raid only Stonewell left in a huff and “alt f4’d” according to Arkwin when he said that we were not doing heroics (“with this group are you kidding me?”) tonight.  I waited for the inevitable when 8:20 hit and we were still not pulling, and he said something along the lines of “you guys all suck, this has been the worst guild ever” and he and ith gquit in the same breath.  He logged vent so he didn’t hear me call him an asshole.

Then he logged in his alt and said this

452ocyla

to which I replied:

451ocyla

before I blocked him. Chalk it up to yet another mage being a douchebag prick. Yes, go find a perfect group that always has people on, on time all the time and never makes mistakes.  I wish you luck.  I prefer a more forgiving play style but I do play it “as a hobby”.

Anyway we reformed and got up to Cho’gall down then called it.  We have not been in BWD at all this week.

Tunnel Vision

Queued for a heroic and got Deadmines, but failed on the thresher boss with the druid and another person doing less than 5k dps. We wiped on that boss a few times and it was clear 2 people did not know the fight, the tank bailed and then I left.

After that I got Stonecore with a guy who did not know how to tank it, but other than 3 wipes on bad pulls, and 1 wipe on Ozruk, it went ok. Didn’t pick up any gear in either run.

Later ran arena with Acks on his warrior and got cap pretty quickly. I am doing better on my mage mostly because I am trying harder to use all my crowd control first rather than trying to damage someone down, and running to hide and heal up even if it’s 2 to 1. Sort of learned that when doing arena with Alex.
