Decided to actually get back on the legendary quest line seems it feels more or less mandatory now since you need the cloak to jump the gap in the bridge on Timeless Isle. It seems wacked to do that (Hellbound cough cough) but eh I can’t let my gear get too far behind raids if I want to keep doing world pvp.
Censer of Eternal Agony
Hm a lot to catch up on. I am a beast vs a rogue currently with my reflective shield and Divine Insight. I almost killed him a few times but he’s way too fast for me. Apparently on the new Timeless Isle, we have an item much like the Zariche in L2 where you become hostile to everyone.
Alliance aren’t very good at this. We stood there for a while and no one bothered attacking, and later Ladiesman fought me and no one helped. I had 2 alliance paladins, I think it was, pair up and try to kill me with this buff but ended up ditching over the side with gliders. Nothing like starting shit and running.
Ladiesman also helped me get the chest on the part of the island I can’t normally get to without the legendary cloak.
I was dumb and forgot it was BoA and opened them all right away. Sigh.
Hordebreaker
Yesterday and last night, with the help of Iocane, Durieldb, and Nilvana on his monk, I banged out the Hordebreaker title. I just couldn’t let it slip! Also, I got to be a metal cat, yay!
Also Quaisoir left the guild, but didn’t tell anyone why. I wanted to talk to him but haven’t had a chance. The other priest, Calicipher, is very excited about raiding, but I think feels nervous about performance especially after we wrung him over a bit about not using atonement at all. We’ll see how that goes. I’m done raiding, at least for now.
When 5.4 hits, Ladiesman promised me an ‘ass-beating’. And:
I told him BRING IT!
New Raid Priest
We got a new priest who will be healing in one of the missing healer spots, and he did very well. That was Quaisoir. Unfortunately I heard that he already told Silly that he’s getting a job that will prevent raiding. Now, this very well might be true, but the amount of times I’ve heard that when someone just got on a team seems a little suspect. I did not raid Tuesday but I did Wednesday and I could easily see how perhaps that was just an excuse. From what I heard Nilvana rebooted Tuesday night and was unable to get back on and the raid was called early. Last week there was probably the usual late coming shenanigans. Then when I raided on Wed, we had people dying repeatedly on what should be farm content, in fact, Dor died early on in the Iron Qon kill and had to remain dead basically the whole fight. He died on the council fight as well even through my shields and a pain supp. Not everyone wants to put up with this repeatedly. Fel died a few times as well.
Last night I did random bgs with Ladiesman on his alliance rogue, JazzyNYC. We got stomped the first two, won the next two if I remember right, and lost the last one. It’s all kinds of fun running with someone who can say “I’m going to get the EFC” and you see the EFC die shortly after. I ran the flag in the WSG for that three times, and would have gotten 3 caps but our team just couldn’t pressure the last EFC death. We basically ran that one ourselves.
Lei Shen Kill
Last Tuesday, we were down Shellblock, who was an hour late, and Angey who was even MORE late. That meant the rest of us got to stand around that whole time and do nothing. Oh and Onenightstab left the guild.
We did however, finally get Lei Shen, I think it took 4 pulls only because I wasn’t able to see any of his spell effects until I rebooted, so it was mostly my fault I think. The fight was pretty easy.
Used a token, nothing.
Guild shot:
And out in Halaa, I killed THIS hunter while THIS priest was on me. Sorry guy. At least twice.
