Qeet is a loot ninja

Ran a Trial of the Champion with guildies Yellowducky and Maice, and got Paletress as the challenger this time.

and she summoned Illidan Stormrage which I don’t think I’ve seen ever before.

We finish up that and the Black Knight with little trouble despite the classes still being a bit wacked.

I then run a WG and sort of fix the hp bars with the /console bloattest 1 command but they still go insane when they overlap.  Or try to, they don’t actually overlap so the hp bars jostle around to find room so you may have an hp bar nowhere near the npc/mob. We win that though the Horde did get down the outer NW wall.  A mage by the name of Rexe thanks me and says he never died thanks to my heals.

I then catch a VOA 10 because I figure I can use the messed up interface to heal at least 10 people with no problems.  The RL says he wants to do a full clear and heads to the fire boss first, which no one ever does, so me and the other healer, and one tank start to head down to frost, and the rest go to fire, resulting in a total group wipe. Seriously, no one ever starts with fire.  The fire boss goes badly, anyway.

We decide to just do frost and what do you know, the Reins of the Grand War Mammoth drop.  The raid leader is really slow on the loot and it’s fairly clear what is going to happen.  He lists the first two pieces of loot, then the war mammoth, then gives it to himself even though someone else rolled a 90 and drops party.  That is called being a loot ninja.  I call the guy, who is named Qeet a “real asshole” in trade chat.

He then mocks people by offering rides on the war mammoth, and I am highly irritated to have people say in chat that we “should have known” that would happen and “that’s what you get for running with a scrub paladin” etc etc.  Because one should expect people to ninja highly desirable loot just because it is in fact highly desirable.  Whatever.  I was nowhere near the winning roll, but I am angry for the person who won that he screwed over.  And I am mad at the people that say stupid crap like we should have known, etc etc.  As far as I know EVERYONE pugs VOA, I haven’t had a VOA guild run in like 8 months.

So Qeet, you are a douche. I don’t care if people ‘expect’ that to be ninja’d either.

I log out.

Yeah I’m a baddie who needs add-ons

Well now.  Despite what stupid people are saying in trade chat, I am at quite the loss on mass healing without my Xperl raid frames.  People seem to think frames or healbot heals FOR YOU and it doesn’t, it just improves the interface so you can easily see 5 to 25 OR MORE players hp bars in one convenient, customizable interface. It’s not the L2 kind of botting.

Hopefully that will get updated in a few days.

In the meantime I manage to run Drak’Tharon Keep.  The damage of the party overall is still way out of line of the bosses, and we kill the final boss (the one below is the second, Novos the Summoner) when still shape shifted into skeletons.  I’ve never seen that happen before.

I try running a battleground afterwards and get WSG, which is constantly available probably from people testing their skills and interfaces.  I give up though for a number of reasons, mostly because the hp bars aren’t working, my raid frames aren’t working, and the built in heal-bot like health frames appear to be non-customizable and visually aren’t working for me.  That and a Horde shadow priest and a frost mage were able to kill me repeatedly, even though I could not see them, at the graveyard (GY).  Spells appeared to be cast from nothing.

I think other than running my daily I’ll have to cut back playing to farming herbs until they get stuff fixed up a bit.

Giant patch fun

Ah the day after a giant patch.  My discipline spec hasn’t changed much but I’m not that keen on regular heal.  sure it costs less, heals for less, but it casts just as slow as greater heal which seems a little wrong.  I expected it to be between flash heal and greater heal in speed.

I have enough Justice points now to pick up the Relentless priest robe and shoulders, and I LOVE IT. It’s so pretty!

I spend some time testing out how long I can resist against another rogue friend, Arashikage outside of Stormwind.

When I am not trying to attack I can survive for quite a while, if not I die a bit faster.  I am not happy with how I heal in battlegrounds now, however.  My Xperl raid frames doesn’t currently work, I can only see some peoples HP bars, and more classes like shadow priests can now silence me.  Between the stuns, school of magic lock outs, fears, screams, saps, throw backs, etc, I don’t seem to be very effective shielding or healing right now. Also my own Scream fails on just about everyone.  I know it’ll get straightened out in a few days but ugh, right now.

Ulduar

I log in still at WG and the battle starts so I run that, and we win.  Nothing too exceptional other than us having 15 vehicles, the horde only 4 yet they breached the NW outer walls.  I have no idea what ours were doing.  Probably a bunch of idiots all getting catapults again.  I did build a siege engine out of Sunken Ring but no one was guarding me so it was quickly ripped apart by two horde.  Sloppy win but a win nonetheless.

I manage to get in on my weekly raid, which is Razorscale in Ulduar this time.

I dislike how you have to do the Flame Leviathan every time when this is a weekly but the fights themselves are pretty cool.  Last time the fire guy was the weekly, the other healer let me die in the slag pot, I was pretty pissed. I’m not even going to bother doing the weekly on the mage though.

We have no problems during the Razorscale fight, though again it irks me that the paladin has 59% healing and I only have 35, but I am fairly certain I was the only one actually healing wounded HP.  The paladin has 66% OVER HEALING so that makes sense. And yes Dag I know, I need Skada still XD

I am terribly tempted to join some of the last minute, before the big patch, ICC 25 man runs but I really, really need some extra sleep today. The talent tree changes are supposed to come out tomorrow and I’ve only read up on changes to the Discipline Priest, and shadow I only need to quest.  So yeah, I’m not really prepared but I am seriously going to bed early today XD

Why does the cat lady have a cleaver?

This morning I note with some horror that I’ve never completed the map of the area around Stormwind, as I head out to the cat lady’s house to get a few cat carriers.

So um.  Why does a lady with a house full of cats stand around holding a bloody cleaver?

Anyway I clear out the blank areas and get the Exploring Elwynn Forest achievement.  Also I’d like to note that last night I picked up the Sliver of Pure Ice trinket and Scourgelord’s Baton.

I queue for for a random and get Culling of Strathholme (CoS).

This goes awry when the tank wants to take on the timed boss and Malganis at the same time.  Unfortunately someone didn’t talk to Arthas to get him to under the gate area so when the tank runs in with the time dragon we can’t start the other fight too.  We burn down that boss then they run back to get Arthas, only he’s way way back at the end of that inn you run through.  I was still waiting just before the last boss with the shaman so the rest of the party starts going down. I attempt to run through the massive trash that has respawned and die quickly despite shield and mending set up.

Before I can run back to the last boss they engage it and with the shaman healing they get it down.  The tank, a paladin (Sargeros-Ravencrest) asks if I got my badge or not, I say yes.  He said he was willing to requeue with me if I had missed it.  Aw, so very nice.  Love paladins!

I finally replace my PVP cloak with a PVE one, Volde’s Cloak of the Night Sky. I run a WG afterwards since it starts shortly. Oh also? This guy? Best name combo EVER, I told him so in a whisper XD
