Trick or Treat

Today I went on a run to collect herbs, so I could fill the GB a bit with stuff people may actually pull out and use.  I put in 11 Spellpower Elixirs, 3 stacks of Adder’s Tongue, 16 or so Runic Mana potions, and something like 25 Runic Healing potions.  If I furiously collect herbs I can generate around 40 runic potions of either type in 1 day, or about 25 flasks of various varieties.  Of course it takes 2 seconds to take these out again.

I learned the other day that in arena, you can dispel HoTs from other people.  That would make a disc priest more valuable, not only for their shields, but because you cannot dispel something that doesn’t tick.

I am thoroughly tired of getting a pumpkin thrown on my head since I cannot get rid of it again, still.

I queue up and get PoS as my random and I lose both the paladin and the druid during the Ick and Krick fight, but the paladin took a full face of poison and the druid was pulling aggro off the tank.  I had to basically spam everything I had to keep the druid up for this reason, the rest of the run.

Funny little note, if you dance too long it seems your body starts disconnecting movements and your dancing turns really spastic like having a stroke.   I trick or treat before going to bed and get this!

Scourgelord Tyrannus, rawr

I log in and say hi to guild, which includes the crabby mage being online and no one says anything back.  I however, do not crab about this.

I queue for my daily and get PoS where it appears the healer bailed or they wiped right after Ick and Krick.  We do ok though they need a lot of healing, with all the PVP I do it doesn’t seem that bad.  I go sleepy time with Tyrannus however XD

The group requeues and I figure I’ll go along with it, and get Old Kingdom.  Since JP’s are out they want to do all bosses, and we seriously do them all.

Even the Mushroom guy

I lose the rogue twice when he pulls stuff he had no reason to be pulling.  The entire group is taking TONS of damage in here, but I don’t notice until later that the top dps is 3k and all the rest in the low 2k. That explains some of it.

When we finished that dungeon I finally get the Heoric Ahn’hahet: The Old Kingdom achievement and Northrend Dungeon Hero.

After that I run WG and note that there is a horde DK taking out the west guns, and this time a few people assist me in killing him.  I also note that a siege is heading in so very NW it’s almost breaking in north, but it breaks through before anyone gets over there.

The DK we shoved out of the fort comes back for me with a vengance (Omnist) but I am able to kill him with the help of someone driving a catapult. We win though we had several holes in the outer walls and one in inner.  I again note that shadow priests are insane to kill. The hybrid classes seem a little OP to me in general though.  Most of them have the same amount of more tricks than my mage, yet they also have their heals, shields, and totems too.  Doesn’t quite seem right.

Anyway I am bored so I join a raid for Sarth3D which I only recently learned means killing the boss in OS with all 3 drakes up.  The raid wipes, yet we still kill it and I get the achievement.

Someone else wins the drake however.

Wish I had Blizzcon

Last night I healed a full clear on VOA 25 and finally got the achievements for doing the Rock boss and the lightning (I think) guy that no one bothered with prior to the patch because it wasnt worthwhile. My dislike of mages deepens when one mage spammed the mage table wheel over and over again causing people to help summon it at least 7 times. It’s also a well known problem that mage tables lock up people that haven’t disabled tool tips, so this makes it extra douche-like to do. I have yet to find a mage who hasn’t been stupid or a jerk. Maice tells me I don’t count because I’m a healer at heart, which is true.

Previous to the VOA, I had a flawless WG healing run with zero deaths.

I really wish I would have gotten the pay per view for the Blizzcon coverage.

Cog of Death

Still bitter over the LK thing, since that group killed him after 7 tries last night, I go rock WG and did not die the entire fight. I then get in a full clear VOA which will be the first one I’ve seen on the priest. The frost boss drops THREE plate items. Ugh.

Turns out the Cog of Death can be fixed by running

/script GameTooltip.Temphide = function() GameTooltip:Hide() end; GameTooltip:SetScript(“OnShow”, GameTooltip.Temphide);

which Maice pointed out to me. I feel a little blind without tooltips though especially on gear drops. But it doesn’t appear to matter much after the frost boss.

I notice the new raiding system allows for people to link a raid and you can click on it and see, prior to heading into the instance, which bosses are up or not.  It’s really amazing the features Blizzard comes up with that you never thought of but once you have it it’s like brilliant! *clinks beer glasses*

I run Drak’Tharon for my daily and then a DK Draenei (Soulprince) I met up with when I was around 68 in Scholazar Basin messages me for the first time in quite a while and just says “random?” and throws me an invite before getting a response.  Apparently he’s not tanking either because we have to wait 5 minutes to get a group, if he was a tank since I’m a healer it would have been instant.  I believe after this run I will drop this person off my friends list, since all he’s brought to the friend table so far is multiple requests to help him buy epic flying, and throws out random group invites that have no benefit to me.  The icing on the cake is we get FING Oculus.

I know the Oculus has a nice bag of rewards at the end, and it’s been made easier, but it’s still my very least favorite dungeon.  Along the first path of mobs he harasses the paladin to “hurry up pally” when the speed we are going is more than acceptable, and when this proves to be bothersome, decides to start tanking mobs himself.  Shortly after he demands we all go faster and I tell him we’re going plenty fast.

To add insult to the whole thing, because I didn’t want to run this in the first place, he leaves party after the first boss and I PM him and tell him that’s bullshit. I’d bet money that this person is in the teenage years (because they all do this almost without exception) and he confirms by whining his parents are making him get to bed.  So yes I remove him from friends.

I trick or treat at the innkeeper again and get turned into a black cat.

I then run into Plewps (Lemm in L2) and he turns me into a Wisp and I turn him into a pirate.

He tells me that we cannot do arena until a few weeks into Cataclysm. Wah!  We’re still on a 2v2 team called Lineage II Rejects also. I log out, it’s late.

Blazing Hippogryph

I log in this afternoon and catch the last 10 seconds of WG. I see a paladin flying around on a red hippogryph with a red flaming tail, something I’ve never seen before. I ask them (Shardwynn) where it comes from and they say from a TCG Loot card. NICE. It’s the Blazing Hippogryph http://www.wowhead.com/item=54069

I don’t feel like PVEing much today so I get Strand and we win, then get AV and 30 mins later we lose. Isle of Conquest we win. I spent my time in the guns during most of that. Then we lose WSG but that is mostly because a group of me and 3-4 others spend the majority of the time trying to beat down a shadow priest. I think they are a LITTLE OVERPOWERED right now. A little.

I then get Arathi and a mouthy night elf DK by the name of Hotter was berating everyone for being terrible, and I told him to shut his mouth NOW. Then he said we at the LM sucked because we lost it, I said you’re right a warlock and me can take on 5 horde. He comes to LM I assume to watch me and the shit talk stops after that. And we win, so I get to ask “so who sucks NAO?” XD The upside of that is now I can afford my new pants. I drop one Mystic King’s Amber for a Potent Ametrine this time but keep the same leg enchant.
