Cute Hyjal Quests

Today I quested more in Hyjal, which led me to a giant evil looking turtle….

which I’m sure is tied up in some old world lore about a turtle carrying the earth or something

and I got to hover up all god-like and talk to a glowing ball thing, and wow never noticed the trees look female here.

and this escort quest, freaking ADORABLE.

I run off to do arena with Leonz, and we only lost twice, and once was because he had to go afk at the start of the fight, so we got rolled.  I picked up my Vicious boots though.  I also respec’d, shamelessly copying Rayslayz talents, since smite healing was not working at all.  We capped quickly, and had some good fights.

Ocyla the Ghoul

We had Frmunda log in, left guild, and log out at record speed today.

Besides that, last night I ran a daily dungeon with Maice and per usual we got… yes, Deadmines.  At the end I died since I didn’t run away, and this time he turned me into a ghoul thing, which I’ve never had happen to me before.  We had talked about this being what a DKs Brez would be, since having a druid like version of it would be unfair.

Then I went back to Hyjal to pick up on some of my quests, and fought the dragon Sethria

I probably could have killed her myself at this level, but I did use the signal to summon a bunch of druids in their cheating flight form to help me kill her.

Later I went on to do the arial jousting, and seriously? Someone has been playing NES Joust, haven’t they?

The flying was difficult both because jousting in 360 degrees is a problem in general, but having to constantly pump what was my C keybind, was difficult.  But I got an achievement and a pet out of it.

And this, this, you cannot get more cute.

I’m holding one bear cub while another peeks out of the tree, then you get to throw them on a trampoline (or not) but you only get credit if they land safe.

On a side note, I checked my horde and got a message back from Rayslayz, and now I have his alliance rogue on my friends list.

The raid was cancelled tonight so I did more quests in Hyjal, finally hit exalted with them, and then ran Throne of Tides with Leonz, then ran a fail TB and ran into Rexe and had some fun killing horde… for fun.

I had to drop the team I was on with Ladiesman to temporarily join teams with Leonz just to get my conquest points this week.  We did not do very well but I did get cap.  I felt I played very poorly, honestly.  I ran into Rayslayz this time in the flesh and we lost to them, him and a DK I think it was.  But, he’s wearing full viscous, so that helps.  I mean, besides being a good player of course.

But yeah, I was not happy with how I played.

Anyway, during on TB battle I managed to get down this sneaky rogue that Tuwat was fighting, and I took this shot only because he vanished on me twice, and escaping rogues peak my interest.

Ascendent Council

Let’s see, starting to get days messed up.  On Friday we ran everything in BWD except Magmaw, which was already done, and of course Nef, then cleared out BoT up to the council, which went poorly and then we called it.

Today the raid didn’t even get going since we were missing 2 people, and first decided to wait an hour for someone to show up, and then tried to get replacements which didn’t work out. It was called at about an hour 15.

I ran my daily dungeon, then ran arena with Leonz on his team.  I could have done better, as disc, but we capped for the week anyway and I picked up my Vicious pants.  Pretty good considering that I haven’t played disc in a while, and we are newly partnered. During one of the fights, with a priest named Desasteress, they pm’d me with “gg” and “<— rayslayz” which I totally remember from messing with him in TB. The guy has like full vicious gear and, at the time, a 1800 arena rating.  I tell them I am impressed and he says he’s thinking about going back to Alliance. Says he has a rogue too, well, you don’t say! I seem to have misplaced my rogue. Anyway I try to carry the convo a little but then someone else msg’s me and says he just left, apparently they were having a lan party and drinking at someone else’s house.  I log in my horde to say hello, then call it a night.

Gladiator Gear

Ran a WSG today and won, and had enough conquest to get my new wand, Vicious Gladiator’s Touch of Defeat. After this I will be working on robes and stuff. I don’t know what I’ve been doing in bgs lately, but we’ve been winning more often than not. It’s a very nice change. Of course, this comes on the heels of now not needing honor, at all, but eh I’ll take it.

Did all the TB dailies, and, side note, it kills me that I paid 15k for valor boots a week or two ago, and now they are 8k. Oh well.
