New BH Boss

Did the new BH boss today, pretty easy, stack and run around when she “bone storms” like Marrowgar, only with no fire. A fing priest won the wrist pvp item, then also won the roll on the pvp gloves. The raid leader, who was Pomography, asked them to pass their roll since they already won something. The priest (wvpearl) said no and he gave it to them anyway. I was the second highest roll. When I questioned him about it, he said he did not want to get reported for not doing by roll rules. I informed him that as RL you can do whatever you want with loot including ninjaing it and they do nothing. Apparently he did not know that.

A minor annoyance, since they were shadow priest gloves and the healing ones are better. That person only did 7800 hps though and I did 16k.

Jaina’s Staff

Ran the 5 man dungeons over and over and over today but didn’t come away with any loot for oh, the first 5 runs I think. Earlier in the week I got side-grade gloves, robe, but I still badly need to replace 359 shoulders, and belt.  If I can get those I’ll just drop the 2pc set I have since it’s not that good and gets me killed anyway (with the mirrors) and gear it for fire, and go fire.  Arcane gets shut down pretty hard in some of these new instances and raids.

On one of my last runs for the day I picked up Jaina’s Staff, which makes me slightly sad in the pants because I had spent like 17k on Volcanospike what feels like not that long ago (2 months I think) but eh what can you do.  That other weapon served me well.  It’s a pretty staff too, in addition to the pretty robes I picked up, I’m happy with some of the looks on the new loot.

Did a LFR with Maice even though I could not roll on loot, which went well.  Afterwards I was asked by Rexe to come heal a normal FL.  We started with Beth which we two healed and I put out something like 22k hps to get through that, barely, had to pop every mana CD I had.  We skipped Shannox and went to Rhyo which went poorly,

and after 3 wipes I think it was, I said I had to go.  It was late and I’m not terribly keen on making progress on normal raids when I have the heroics under my belt.

The final 5 man instance features an escort by Thrall, which I guess some Alliance players are ticked about.  The totems he throws down have the horde “logo” on it too, not sure what that’s about.

Why wouldn’t we have an escort by Varian?  I suppose I’m going soft over the whole Horde thing (insert joke about Ladiesman stealing my Alliance card here) but eh whatever.  In that party though I joked it was total bs and brought out the war bear I got for killing Thrall a year or so ago.

Later on I did my daily bg win and who should I run into but Ladiesman on his warlock, and yes I tried to beat his ASS.  He had a druid healer on him that the other alliance weren’t taking care of. Top 3 attacked, Joeshagwell, 58%, next person, 14. Ha ha.   We lost miserably, then went on to crush horde in a SoTA.

I plan on trying to gear both characters equally this time, and the LFR tool will help me do that without needing both chars on a regular team.

Draenei to Human

I decided to make my priest who has been draenei this entire time, human, and paid for the race change.  I like the avatar set better on draenei than human but eh.  The racials will be better for my priest as a human though I’ll miss what I looked like.

At any rate, I like this instance a lot.

Our guild had a calendar item up to do DS25 last night but at the starting time only like 3 people were on and I just queued randomly.  Even though I had top healing, which I realize means absolutely nothing, I won no loot.  Yes one clearly has nothing to do with the other but when you see a spriest win your bracers or whatever and they are doing 10k dps it’s kind of slightly more annoying.

We had a few wipes during this raid but nothing that was a big deal.  Won nothing this time either.  And yes I  made my priest look exactly like my mage, so I keep wanting to blink for some reason.

So, I won’t be switching servers, I decided.  I almost wish I still had my shaman here.
