Ran on my priest with A9N again and picked up the heroic Petrified Fungal Heart, normal version of Cord of the Slain Champion even though I already had a 397 belt, but I was the only clothie, and got Janglespur Jackboots to finally replace my heroic Coalwalker Sandals from Firelands.

We also got down heroic Skittles (Yor’sahj) and tried heroic Ultraxion but there was some fuss with the fading light and dps so we only tried twice.

And, ok. I liked Firelands and I liked the heroic fights I got to do or try (Shannox, Rhyolith, Staghelm, Alysrazor) but so far I don’t like any of the DS fights on normal or heroic. They are either “bleh” or just not fun to do. Morchock and Yor’sahj are just sort of bleh whatever, Ultraxion is just heal your ass off and hit a button sometimes, Spine is “do healing on people who don’t need it because of a stupid debuff”, and heroic Skittles is, don’t heal people too much, which is just dumb. I don’t like it. The only fight that is remotely engaging is Blackhorn, imo.

Cunning of the Cruel

Ran the first 4 bosses of LFR the other day, and watched Cunning of the Cruel go to a BALANCE druid who was doing FERAL dps, at around 6k dps. They then went to actually using balance during the second boss, and brought their DPS up to around 10k.

On the third boss I won a new ring, which was technically a side grade (which I ended up equipping) and that druid asked if they could have it because my gear was better. Stifling an urge to tell them to fuck off I said sure I’ll trade for that trinket. Needless to say they declined. Someone from Ragnaros, that druid was. Totally sick of seeing that server, and Goldrinn in my queues.

24 doing nothing

I followed the chain of quests to Gludio and got up to 24 doing nearly nothing. There are still inaccuracies in the quest text that bugs me though.

I joined a kama for level 26 with some people and it’s the same old same old it appears. A mage class such as myself, even with a servitor out, even with Bsps, with beast shots, and using the pet recharge constantly, will go OOM before the end of the fight without any way to recover. I hit level 26 when it died but it also seems the loot rules are exactly the same; this time it was one drop of 6 enchant armor D’s that no one else got a share of. There is also no “rolling” for loot like in WoW, however the group was set up at the time gets it, be it “by turn” or whatever the settings are, can’t remember exactly.

It also still suffers from the problem of being able to use SS and cast a spell when a mob is dead, and hit a dead body, wasting SS and mp. Some of the monsters got upgraded textures though.

One major thing to note is adena is no longer an issue. I am getting sometimes up to 90k at a time from one quest, and from my prior noob tests, I was lucky to have 90k at the end of level 20. In fact at level 26 I have nearly 900k.

I got up to 32 before I got bored, since I can’t do any more kamas today. I see there are still a lot of useless skills like boost mana for a whole 30 pm, and skills that were rarely used like weakness and such. Ended up logging out after making 10 levels for the day.”

Did a full clear, with Morchock on heroic, with A9N last night.  They tear through bosses like mad, every fight was like half the length that it takes Relentless to do.  I got a BOE belt which I equipped and the tier robe. I really didn’t need it since I had 2 other 397 robes but eh I got 5/5 atm so whatever. Can also switch it around if need be.

Something that pisses me off raw though, dps that go afk without warning and magically come back after a full clear of trash is done.  Or go afk and not say a word, for like 10 mins.A tank can’t get away with that because the whole group has to wait.  A healer can’t usually do that because the whole group has to wait, or risk a wipe if the tank isn’t notified first (so no random afking).

A warlock from RS did that last night, and was gone for all the slime trash and then was kicked, but came back mid boss, but left at Ultraxion.  They think he was upset about not winning the belt, which they said he already had.

Tonight did a full clear on my shaman with Relentless and for some inconceivable reason we keep bringing Branders with. I focus’d him and inspected again. Apparently Lila got him to enchant, but he went at least 4 fights never casting  Greater Healing Wave.  It was just riptide, chain heal, healing wave, and healing rain. During high damage stack phases he just cast healing wave.  I never saw spirit link totem either.   He also kept overwriting my earth shield on Cinor, except for one fight where I told him to knock that shit off because I needed to have it up since I was healing in melee range.  The normal version of Heart of Unliving dropped and THANK THE LIGHT I beat that shaman over that, or my rage quitting would be put all others to shame.

I like how anytime I trash someone for being desperately awful on their class, that they ask if I’m in an elite guild or “hardcore” guild. No, do you really need to be elite to know you shouldn’t be missing 9 glyphs? Do you have to be elite to not lose 30% of your health per mob swing? Or wait I’m sure you have to be elite to NOT play a fire mage just hitting scorch constantly.
