Doing Heroics

We did 5/8 heroic last night on my priest with A9N, and had to pug a dps and a healer, since Nilvana was out with a broken computer. I recorded Heroic Zon’ozz but did not do Hagara in case I screwed up on the ice phase again (I mostly didn’t). I picked up heroic shoulders, ring, and took a head token I’m not sure why, I think I thought it was heroic and it wasn’t. Was tired or something.

Nothing really remarkable other than the shaman “lagging” during Hagara a few times, and going oom during the end part of Madness, but otherwise everything went smooth.

Our Relentless group will need to pony up more dps if we are thinking about heroics and drop the notion that a raid leader should be calling out every little thing.

We had our alt raid last night and this time brought a guildies alt shaman who was doing 5-10k heals on the first 4 bosses. They claimed it was because of their gear, but from spell usage it looked like they just didn’t know how to play a shaman. Then we had our problem priest, and a druid from RS. It went pretty sloppy even with the nerf, and we failed on boat. I got Lightning Rod from Hagara though so I was happy.

I think people forget that even with nerfs, the mechanics of the fight are the SAME. They didn’t nerf them to LFR faceroll status.

Did DS on the shaman last night, and we one shot heroic Morchok and attempted heroic Yor’sahj but even given healing assignment, the other healers were building stacks on my healing group and blew it up twice. I watched Cinor’s stack go from 0 to 2 when I didn’t even cast a heal and only I was supposed to be healing him. He hit 4 from me out of necessity then someone kept on throwing heals after and boom. Sigh.

Everything else was done on normal. Ring of the Riven dropped and I guess it was assumed that it would go to Trench, but I outrolled and won it. I was asked if it was a “joke” roll and “I didn’t know healers would roll on that ring”. I was like, what? why not? It has haste and mastery, both of which are desirable to almost any caster and healer. I had been using the LFR version so, ok?

I swear people think that only spirit items go to healers.

Cunning Proc is Cool

Been pvping like mad lately now that I have Cunning of the Cruel.  Besides doing a decent amount of damage, the proc on it is just FING COOL!

Was on a crazy winning streak in bgs today.  The best one was a WSG where a disc priest had the flag and was within 1 yard of capping their flag.  I ringed them with Ring of Frost so they couldn’t get to it without getting frozen, then the rest of my team cc’d their ass and beat them to death.  No joke, just a few feet in front of capping.  We went on to win.  I professed undying love to that group.

Then during a BH group I found another mage which appears to be my doppelganger.

Blood elf Minions

I wanted a new staff transmog so I went out to Shadowmoon Valley to get a quest version rather than pay the 18k someone wanted for the Exodar Life Staff.

First, gosh I love this spell. Blood elves are my minions, yay! lol

I went and did FL tonight only because I wanted to get Exalted with the Avengers of Hyjal FINALLY.  I picked up the 391 rep ring, and got heroic Jaws of Defeat. I was still using regular jaws so I equipped that, I like macroing it with PI.

I also took Alys’s Razor for transmog (my shaman has that it’s awesome) and Mantle of Closed doors.

Everything went fairly well this time although I still think our druid, I really  don’t know what they are doing sometimes.  We had that one incident of them not dpsing or healing AT ALL during Majordomo once, and this time I noticed they avoided a fire cat leap by going into travel form.  I thought oh good, they avoided that, but… then he stayed in cat form.  The entire cat phase.  He just ran back and forth like waiting for another jump and I saw no heals going off. I don’t get that guy.

Before we got  Rag down and I suggested that we please, please have the tanks stand together like we use to do in A9N.  For some reason in Relentless they were standing so far apart you had to move to hit both with heals and it was just annoying.
