Spent last night pvping in my good old disc spec as I lose it today. I mean, the spec is still there, but will be pretty much completely changed. I hit divine hymn and mana burn, as much as possible.
Whisperwind Eleven
A little behind in my posts. We did 5/8 heroic and then wiped on Blackhorn over and over, mostly due to dps being on the low side. That and us being very heavy melee when other sites have recommended nearly all ranged. We did that and the rest on normal.
On my horde priests side, I ran into Tindoor, a rogue who tries to get me in TB often, but who doesn’t even make me waste any kind of CDs. We talked a bit and he said he only does it now if his guild asks him to, and says sometimes he griefs Goldshire.
I left Prius Visum on the horde too, since Angelus and Raenaeh haven’t been on in 7 months, and was invited by Fratricide to Whisperwind Eleven.
They kept calling me a “he” and I did not correct anyone. They seemed cool though. Ribby, the only priest that really gave me any grief in Tol Barad was in the guild as well and we talked a bit about how people are jerks to healers in pvp. I even had to fill out a ‘casual’ app to that guild.
Anyway, this is the fun stuff that happens when you lag in sandstone drake form.
Powertrip the Fail Mage
While running some guild 5 mans, I noticed Powertrip left the guild. That’s the mage we basically carried on the heroic runs, who won a ton of gear. The one that never was on for anything but for raids, who failed all over the place in various ways, etc. Isn’t that always the way?
Anyway later found out he server transferred back to play with friends.
The Only Time (Thus Far) I’ve Rage-logged
Tonight we were supposed to do an ‘alt’ raid but I was really wanting to just not raid at all. That being said I really wish people would tell me about the status of the group before I join. If this is going to be “we’re bringing people who haven’t played in 9 months, are still ilevel 377 etc” then I’ll just pass.
To make things worse, the original gm, Spicecakes, made it extra annoying by repeatedly exclaiming over how bad they were doing. Like “wow I didn’t have a raid frame set up!” “Wow my gear is BAD!” “omg can I bring the cutest paladin ever!” “afk sorry I have to restart the game who knew this error would require restarting!”
Just fucking on and on and on. I nearly pulled my connection out in rage.
The only thing that made it tolerable is that Angiecakes gets irritated as the same thing as me and we just bitched to each other a lot. They say Angie is a girl, but I don’t think so personally. But if so that’s cool and we can easily be like, BFF’s and gay stuff like that.
Anyway on Ultraxion 3 people die to fading light or whatever, tank got rezzed, then another person died, so we were down Spice’s pally healer (not that it mattered) plus 2 dps. At 1% we wiped because a tank didn’t taunt or whatever it is they are supposed to do and we all died. At 1%.
AT ONE PERCENT.
I closed vent, dropped party, said “Guys it’s too late to be wiping on normals I’m out” and logged.
Ugh my luck
Did a pug DS tonight. We wiped once on Zon’ozz because the priest and pally healers were bad, only doing 10k each and everyone died clearly to low heals. I mean people were sitting around at 50% health for ages. They made the shaman heal then we got it.
We brought a rogue named Smokebomb who was in full cata pvp gear, NO glyphs, missing 8 gems, and doing 7k dps. I’m not kidding. 7k dps on Zon’ozz. They kicked him at Yor’sahj, thank goodness.
I won Infinite Loop, replacing my LFR version of it. We did up to Hagara then everyone left.
