Sometimes I Have to be Mean

I posted on the guild forums that I did not want to raid next week. Dor needing on and winning a ring that someone else really could have used, after winning a thunder forged weapon and several other pieces is driving me up the wall. This is in addition to him screwing up constantly and enough is enough. I don’t like him as a co-heals and raiding is just pissing me off in this situation.

Cruc lead guild rbgs on Thurs and I know a few people were there that don’t pvp or don’t like pvp. We did win one though. I brought Shock with and he ended up asking if Fel was trolling. Why you ask? Well whenever a queue pops, or he dies and releases, he’ll lose connection and then can’t get back in for several minutes. This happened once and we had to 9m AB. Then it happened again and we had to 9m another. This does look a lot like trolling when after the 2nd try the person is still ‘damn ya’ll I didn’t get in AGAIN’. But when he asked to try a third time I had enough and said something in vent like “look you made us be down a man TWO TIMES already I think that’s plenty” and he said “fine I’ll just log”. I personally would be mortified if I did that once much less twice.

Shock left after 2 of them I think it was. Said our hunter was horrible, the rogue was just standing in one place and spamming fan of knives, no one was really calling out anything, etc. I know it’s supposed to be fun and losing for points but when it’s epic terrible it ruins it.

Serves you guys right

There seems to be an over abundance of guild groups that do 5 mans to carry some terrible dps guildie, but they don’t queue for a healer, so I end up in their group. It’s just annoying because it’s always some kind of issue like going afk right at the start, 1-2 people doing like 5k dps, and you can’t kick them and your only choice is to deal or leave. But I don’t mind leaving.

I got my DW kill on my shaman but nothing caster related dropped, again. I had asked why they didn’t get it that night I left and was told they were unable to 2 heal it.

Crafting is Hard

On Wed we wiped all night on the heads boss even with 4 healers. Dor died a bunch to the same mechanic at the end too, the ice beam things. Sigh.

And this hasn’t happened in a while but I remember why I never respond to requests in trade for crafting. This hunter wanted a tailor with the imbued netherweave bag pattern. Why you’d want that bag with frostweave, embersilk so easily available, I don’t know, but I figured maybe they just had all the mats and figured why not.

So I switched to my mage and linked the rec. Like clockwork they replied that the had the silk and some bolts. The bags take more than that. The imbued bolts require dust, the bags require planar stuff. They were like “so can you make a few?”. I said you actually have to HAVE the mats, to make the bags. They asked me to link the imbued bolt and I did, then asked how to make the planar essence. I said it was from DEing and after a while they stopped responding and I logged back to my druid.

Then I see “looking for someone who can make imbued netherweave bags I have all the mats”. I replied “2 mins ago you didn’t”. They stopped spamming trade after that. I don’t get how crafting is THAT HARD.

I met a new warrior, whose name escapes me at the moment, when I was being sassy in trade chat. We talked for a while and they said they don’t pvp and hate it, but needed wins in Kotmogu and Silvershard. We added as friends. It took maybe 5 tries to get Kotmogu, but we ran SSM for at least 2 hours and did not get one win. The best part was one of the battles everyone just chilled at the starting point, then the next one after it was clear we were going to lose, I started dancing after respawning. Some hunter said to report me afk and I said “go ahead I don’t give a shit we lose this 100% of the time anyway”. I got called a ‘dick’ and thrown out. Oh well.

Being a Loot Whore

Ran ToT last night but didn’t start until after 10 because Angie was late, but she told us about that, and Ran logged off prior to raid and never came back. We had to wait around for a pug. We cleared up to Tortos but the only thing that dropped I could roll on was a spirit ring, which Dor won and kept. Even though 1) he’s won at least 3-4 pieces already including a weapon and I’ve gotten 1 and 2) Alyis’s monk has 2 rings 489 and 476.

Lose to Cap

Ever since I looked up what “TL;DR” mean I thought holy shit, how stupid are people becoming? I can see TLDRing a book, for instance. But a small paragraph or two?

This has come to my attention pretty fiercely after using the oqueue add-ons, which is lovely in itself, by the way. I got 2200 cap on my ally priest and horde priest this week with it. But fuck, seriously.

The groups have labels on them, such as “losing for cap”. This typically also means “no vent” because we’re losing to get cap. Why do you need vent to lose? You don’t. Since the last time I did rbgs, which was some time ago, it was changed so that you can get points if you made effort. Such as capping a base in Gilneas, getting some carts in Mines, etc. Even if you don’t win, you may still make out with 100 cp. That’s not too bad. Wins are better of course, but can be more stressful.

The stupid people really abound in these though. They join and “so we’re going to try right?”. Well, it’s LOSING TO CAP. So, try enough to get points, but not trying to win. They leave because they want to win. L2R.

Or some are even labeled “Losing RBGs no vent”. They get in, ask if there is vent, when the leader says no they leave. Derp. I even joined one tonight where the priest I joined asked if I was leading. I said um no, I joined YOUR oqueue ‘lose to cap group’. “I didn’t even start one” they said. Siigh. And this is like, 2-3 people PER GROUP doing this.
