Insulting Healers

Ran three Twin Peaks tonight with a druid guildie and a monk.  We only won one.  The first loss had a DK FC who had more healing than most healers, and 2 healers on him before that.  Our dps didn’t even dent him away from his healers.  I know how that feels on my hunter.  I held the flag like 10 straight minutes too. I didn’t yell in that match, any time I see a DK with 800k health and a few healers I just want to rage quit.

The second one, had no one on O at all but a single rogue.  Our entire team was on D.  I ran up to join the rogue and we nearly killed the druid EFC but then our flag dropped and they got a cap.  We never had more than 2 on O and didn’t get a single cap. One of the hunters on our team kept calling us fail healers and shit heals and blah blah.  I said I was top horde heals and he was like ‘yeah, for horde’.  Alliance still had the top 2.  I can’t help what is available to heal.  I outhealed the guild druid by TONS.  I think half the dps outhealed him/her anyway.

It turned into a pissing match of just who was stupider, dps insulting their pvp healers and or dps too stupid to kill an EFC that barely had any defense.   I really get on a roll when people are dumb like that.  Felt like playing Alliance again.  I think I ended with something like “maybe if I heal harder you’ll grow brains”.

New Character Models

The new orc models were just posted and WoW.  Really impressed with all the updates so far.  It will be hard to decide what to pick on looks, everything looks so good.  Most of my characters now are horde, my tank is an orc, hunter blood elf, priest blood elf, and druid is a troll.  But with everything looking so good, I may need to also make a dwarf!

Hm.  So I’m finding tanking is so much pressure compared to healing, or dpsing, that I’ll leave an instance with the slightest provocation.  Can’t randomly afk like a dps, can’t lag a little behind like a healer.  Can’t type while tanking, like I can while dpsing or healing, or at least I can’t manage it yet because stuff dies so fast.  If I don’t know the way I have to constantly check the map while keeping aggro and watching dps run wherever they feel like it and make sure the healer is around.  So when someone yells “where the f are you going?” and “look at the DAMN MAP” I just leave.

Melee have it the worst, hands down

So when I played a healer in pvp, I thought silences were the worst.  Garrote, silence, counterspell, yeah, awful man.

Then I played a hunter.  Disarms, geezes, way worse.

Then I played a MELEE.  Clearly the worst.  Snares, AND disarms.

I’ve tanked a number of dungeon since that rager at 17, and no one has complained.  I gotta admit though, healers are a bunch of whiners.  I watch their range and mana bar, nothing is unduly stressed, but yet they aren’t healing, or going afk.  In pvp they bitch even when we’re winning.  Though I did enjoy a little spar I had today with one on my warrior, where they called us a bunch of “ball lickers”.

I replied that if ball licking would insure a win, I was on board.

They correct me with “bored*”

They kept on bitching right up until a win, where they said “yw”. Ugh.

Tanking for the first time ever

I rolled a warrior and went prot just to see how it was.  Took a while to hit 15 which Deadmeen was teasing me about, but pvp wins gives barely any experience now.  Like 10% for a win.  That’s horrible, what happened?

I am correctly geared in my BoAs and weapons (sword ‘n board) and read up on my skills.  I did a Ragefire Cavern, that went fine.

Then Deadmines, holy geez.

That was after the shaman yelling at me for not holding threat.  When I pointed out taunt has a 8 second cd they said “my heal has a 10 second cd and I’m doing fine”.  That’s riptide you moron, that’s not your only heal though.

Prior to that it was ‘you have boas and you aren’t holding threat’ and ‘i’m holding threat better than you’

I have internetz of steel though and I promptly told the healer to fuck themselves and kick me if they didn’t like it.  I then ran back a bit to not pull anything and waited for the kick which happened soon after. Fine. I just wonder how new tanks handle it that don’t have a mouth of fire like I do.

8 Boxing in Halaa

As this expansion kind of wafts on and on, it’s been more annoying in wPvP running into the raid-geared folks, I’m talking 560 item level or higher, with the legendary cloak in particular.  These people just hit like a truck and have ridiculous health pools 600-700k for casters and healers.  My druid who is rocking full grievous (522) is at 493k.

Now I’ve been on my hunter more often than not, where I use my grievous bow and a trinket, and my mix of flex and LFR gear.  I’m not a dummy, I don’t want to wear my pvp gear and be a  good SIXTY item levels behind people but it doesn’t make it right.  Sometimes I have to take advantage of this guy, even though I detest multi-boxers.

He usually evens things up.  Thanks to the gear disparity, it usually takes 2-3x the people in pvp gear, to beat down a normal geared raider.  We actually had a heroic geared raider, an enhancement shaman in WG earlier in the week.  He literally decimated 60% of my health before I could blink.  Repeatedly.  POW gone.

Today Deadmeen and I ran into a 563ish boomkin, who blew both of us out of our shoes and then healed up like a resto.  Frustrating.  And this was throwing absolutely everything I had at them.  Off heals are messed up pretty bad I’d have to say.  It’s a little something else when you see a shaman try to melt your face off while ascending and then start healing like a resto shaman instantly after an elemental blast.

Anyway.  I tried 2v2s with Deadmeen but we lost 4 in a row before I had to cry uncle.  He didn’t have the dps nor the survivability for it, currently.  He does make good use of death grip though, which seems to be rather uncommon for Dks. Gear and some experience should fix all that.

Why do people always spit in pvp btw?

You attack a low level town, I’m going to kill you until you leave.  Or at least try.  Dat pve gear, sometimes I have to suck it up and leave.  It’s fortunately uncommon for a well geared pver to harass low level towns though.
