Quick, Hide the Bones

Logged in and transmuted a gem, then queued for a random bg and got WSG.  We’re coordinated from the get go by Sonar-Illidan and win.  I helped run in the flag with another shadow priest, then ran in twice with the paladin.  I then earn the achievement Supreme Defender when I pop the horde Paladin with an army of healers on him, in the nose with a Shadow Fiend.

I’m back up to 633 honor already.  I take a look at the Wrathful healer gear and it’s not bad looking, though not as awesome as the Relentless. Of course I may go for the satin set for the crit rating and the red and yellow gem slots however. That would probably suit my spec better.

I run WG since it’s up, and Rexe is there.  We win though it is close because the horde was putting up a bit of a fight on the east side, while completely ignoring the west.  We run through on the west side and I use smite, holy fire and penance to take out the guns.  I’m not sure how much it works but I throw PW Barrier on the sieges as they are breaking down the relic door.  I believe it does protect them, though. That gets up to 701 honor.

I then get into a VOA 10 group.  I’m really not sure why people in a 10 man, need repeated role checks to see who is doing what.  I set my role as a healer, they send a role check and I select healer.  They then ask people to type in 1 if they are a healer, to which I reply “I’d type 1 but I already said I was healing twice”. We do ok with the stone boss though a warrior is griping about people managing aggro, though everyone seems to be pulling it. We wipe on the frost boss, then try again and even me pulling out the big heals as fast as possible, I can’t keep even up the off tank using using pw shield, mending, penance, every second it comes up, and spamming greater heal.  I used up Divine Hymn on the first wipe and PW barrier on the second. The off tank bails.

We get a new tank. By the way, the DK T10 set is smart looking on night elf males.  The helmet covers their awful faces and they are taller than humans. XD

You can see the failure of our wipes littered all over the floor ><  The raid leader stalls up the group some how taking all damn day to go from Dal to VOA even with a portal.  We get that boss down though once again I cannot keep 2 tanks up at the same time. I have no idea what the other priest was doing, but it’s clear they did very little when I pull up recount and they did 28% of healing and I did 60%. I also did 71% of absorbs and they did 28%.  So again, they weren’t doing much of anything.  I mean I could tell that even with recount not loading, since no one was getting healed unless I did it, but damn. The awesome part is they also had 33% overhealing.

We get down the fire boss with both tanks down and maybe 3 people left. I drop group after that.

Remember weekly raids quests?

I then head back to Dalaran, and the weekly is Lord Jaraxxus, ugh.  It’s not terribly hard but it requires moderate raid coordination and requires downing Icehowl before getting to him, so sometimes it goes horribly wrong.

I transmute another gem and I should get them cut, since I’m up to  12 just on Ocyla and Silver has at least 5 too. I need 5 more honor to get my pvp staff.  I like the 2 handed weapons just because well, less bag space. And it’s priestly-er.

Anyway I get Strand of the Ancients and somehow, even being feared, stunned, sapped, silenced and basically rendered completely and utterly useless the entire fight, we win!  I go from 2545 honor to 2683 and have enough for my staff.

I run WG and we are attacking this time.  Apparently some people find it hard to communicate because the people on the west side are not telling anyone they are working on the walls, but when I say we’re working on center door, they then say they are on third and need help.  They repeatedly say this even when we are in the inner courtyard.  Dumb asses.  We win!

Later I run a WSG and we lose, though I stayed alive quite a significant amount of time, despite being cycloned and silenced repeatedly.

I ran my daily which is Nexus and I’m not sure who is tanking because everyone is taking considerable damage and taking turns pulling.  They then pull 2 of the lizard guys in the front with them into the end bosses room, plus the 2 already in there, and unfreeze the dragon.  I had to pop fing divine hymn to get us out of that.  Nonsnse!

I then ran a random bg and get EoTS, with the horde running in a solid pack throughout all the bases.  It looks like we may win for a while with someone directing but like usual we lose.  At one point I did chase off a boomkin who was trying to kill an afk shaman rather than me playing live.  So, I guess that was good.

I meant to die like that

Logged in and waited 5 minutes for a random only to have it be Oculus again and locked up straight away.  Had to end task out then got CoS.  That was ok but the hunter went “afk” just before we entered the inn and just stayed that way until the last boss, which he also missed because he was so far behind in the instance.  I thanked him sarcastically after the loot rolled especially since he won at least one item he had no hand in earning. Jerk.

I then got picked up in an ICC 10 raid. I had to reload my Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) and Healbot, and reconfigure my stupid Quartz casting bar once again.  We wiped several times just on Gunship, though I had a bit of fun since I was asked to go to the other boat to heal the warrior on a failed glitch attempt.

I was mid-dying right there, but it looks sort of funny huh?  We ended up having to do that on regular, which is failsauce.

I also am not sure what my shields absorbed before but it’s clearly less now.  That or my xperl isn’t working right.  I put on a shield and it’s ripped down almost the same instant.  Not liking that.  We get down Rotface and I win Choker of Filthy Diamonds, to replace a DPS necklace I was still wearing.

I put up Power Word Barrier (PW B) in the bug room just before Professor Putricide and it gets torn down almost instantly. I sure hope that gets tweaked.

With no vent, we wipe quickly on Putricide. However on the second try we get him down and 6 people get the achievement, so that explains some of our trouble. I had previously given notice that I had to go after this one, and they call it a night.  All in all getting that far with no vent is still pretty good.

Ooh Lprime and Arashikage takes me places

It appears that items you can use (when the gears show up) bug out the game currently. Someone put down a Great Feast in EotS and soon as I clicked on it the game froze up.  The same thing happened when I merely mouse-overed a flag in WSG.  I queued up for a dungeon and the lack of tanks is being felt when I had to wait 6 minutes for a group.  Normally on a healer it’s more or less instant.  We get Oculus and before I can move I hit something with the “gears” again and lock up solid.  I bomb out and try to get back in and a patch starts loading, and by the time I get back to my dungeon I’ve been kicked out and have the deserter debuff. Sigh.

I queue up again and this time get Halls of Stone.  I don’t have a chance to take too many pictures because the damage being done is high, and I finally notice half way through the run that Lprime is the tank.

Lprime, a paladin,  use to be in a hard core guild called Obsolete, the elite kind of guild that has done all the content in 10 man, 25 man, both normal and heroics and then sold Lich King kills for huge amounts of gold.  He’s a bit of a trade chat whore as I understand too.  I ran with him on Ruby Sanctum 10 man once when he was healing.  The whole run goes well other than Lprime using the rocket booster to run way ahead of everyone but I manage to catch up in time.

After that I went with Arashikage to Blackrock Depths (BRD) then to Molten Core (MC) which is an old time raid.  It reminds me a bit of Forge of the Gods in Lineage 2.

The only boss that gets us is this one, since I went shadow spec.  I went back to disc healing and it went fine.

These guys I recognize from old Dark Legacy comics. (DLC Vocab)

Then the final boss, who I find quite impressive to look at!

and this weapon I absolutely remember from this comic! (DLC Ninja Loot)

I pick up a few items that I am told were Tier 2, and I get the Molten Core achievement.  Woo!

Ulduar

I log in still at WG and the battle starts so I run that, and we win.  Nothing too exceptional other than us having 15 vehicles, the horde only 4 yet they breached the NW outer walls.  I have no idea what ours were doing.  Probably a bunch of idiots all getting catapults again.  I did build a siege engine out of Sunken Ring but no one was guarding me so it was quickly ripped apart by two horde.  Sloppy win but a win nonetheless.

I manage to get in on my weekly raid, which is Razorscale in Ulduar this time.

I dislike how you have to do the Flame Leviathan every time when this is a weekly but the fights themselves are pretty cool.  Last time the fire guy was the weekly, the other healer let me die in the slag pot, I was pretty pissed. I’m not even going to bother doing the weekly on the mage though.

We have no problems during the Razorscale fight, though again it irks me that the paladin has 59% healing and I only have 35, but I am fairly certain I was the only one actually healing wounded HP.  The paladin has 66% OVER HEALING so that makes sense. And yes Dag I know, I need Skada still XD

I am terribly tempted to join some of the last minute, before the big patch, ICC 25 man runs but I really, really need some extra sleep today. The talent tree changes are supposed to come out tomorrow and I’ve only read up on changes to the Discipline Priest, and shadow I only need to quest.  So yeah, I’m not really prepared but I am seriously going to bed early today XD
