Blood Queen

I run Strand and although we do very good, and the battleground groups seem much more fair, compared to our usual groups, we lose.  I get 68 honor.  I do not like Strand very much just because we always seem to defend it fine, then we’ll almost get their door down, but we lose anyway.  Eh yeah I suppose I should read up on how that works. I do get an honorable mention in this one though.

WG is up in 3 mins  and I queue for it, but it tells me I’m not called in for about 10 mins.  When I do get in the horde have already taken down a tower or two, we’ve made no progress on the walls, and even attempting to defend the sieges rolling in we’re no match for players standing near the dead guns shooting down, or anyone hell bent on running under the vehicles and breaking them up.  I mean, I do that personally as well, the sieges/demo can’t hit you, and it requires some kind of CC to stop you from suicide-ing to take it down.  Sieges and demos should have some kind of body-crush skill or not allow players to run THROUGH it.  IMO.

We get done one wall but end up losing. Well, I’m up to enough honor to get another Wrathful piece at any rate.  The items at the Veteran Arena Vendor are now correctly showing no arena rating required for the lower end items. I buy the hood and gem and enchant it.

I need to level cooking some more, and my next highest recipe requires eggs from the raptors around Menethil Harbor.

I remember hating these guys on my mage since they would call for help and I’d get beat to death shortly after.

Now the shoe, she is on the other foot!

It takes something like 50 Raptor Eggs to get the Curiously Tasty Omelet down to green on the cooking list.

I queue for WG again and we lose.  The horde can easily repel all our vehicles with their own plus defenders since we only broke through a single wall, which just makes a murder hole.  Sigh.

Later I run a AV and someone maps out plans at the start but eventually, we lose pretty badly.  Epic battles though so I enjoyed myself, and I got another compliment from a warrior. (had to merge several images to get it all on one)

I queue up for WG but do not get in. We win it that time though.

Queued for WG again, and I solo a hunter down to .03 health but I was screwing around going on offensive so I died before he did.  Shame!  Even though I’m shouting the entire time that all we have to do is bust up their vehicles and mostly play defense, there was only a handful of people doing defense and the horde rolls us 15 minutes in. Alliance doesn’t like to work together.

Again, queued for WG and we failed something hard.  Horde was defending, they got 10 vehicles before we had any, managed to take nearly all the workshops, then bust all the sieges we had coming out of sunken, and we didn’t even get a wall down.  I have no idea what we were even doing because we weren’t killing their vehicles, weren’t defending the towers (which they got all down), and weren’t getting vehicles.  Oooh I was furious.  We LOST.

At night I have the regular 25 man.  We do fine until Putricide where we wipe, due to the person in the abom not slowing down the oranges, then later the greens not being killed quickly, and I died when the green zapped me and no one was around to share the damage. We get it the second time though.

I do think the trash before the blood princes is, a little overpowered, when they destroy 2 of the tanks and 2 healers in like 30 seconds. These guys, they suck.

During the Blood Queen a rogue gets MC’d and kicks the living hell out of everyone.  I run back up only to get smoked, along with everyone else “safely” waiting in the queens room when someone pulled one of the Valkyr in the rooms below and all the adds ran up to get us.  There must have been like 20 trash mobs running around up there.

People were not biting or biting the wrong people, (I got bitten once, again), not running the flames OUT of the group, and not meeting up for that connection spell thing. This is the last thing I see before we decide to not do this boss tonight since the RL is tired, and I am too.

We get down Val and then call it a night.  My rolls are fantastic tonight and I don’t have a single roll above 20, and that was over 4 rolls.  I had like, 18, 11, 12, 14. Lovely.

Cataclysm Events

Flew around herb-ing today, first through WG, then to Scholazar and accidentally slipped into the Borean Tundra and got that exploring achievement.  Didn’t know I was missing it.  During this WG ticks down to queue time and I queue up for it at 14 mins to go.

and watching protodrakes kill elementals is kind of epic.

The queue comes up for WG but it tells me I’m not called yet. SIGH. I’m like, RIGHT THERE so I just fly over to see what’s going on. I get thrown back out. I crab about this in trade and someone else says they also did not get called in. I head back to WG and ask how many are in raid but no one answers, and I get thrown out again.  I get in after that point and there are 13 people in myself included.   We have a breach at west already with 19 mins to go. Shortly after they have 5 vehicles beating on the front door. Those are busted up quickly and they are down to 0/8 vehicles then shortly after up to 4/12.

The west inner wall goes down. Fortunately for us everyone is communicating well,  and the tower team gets the towers down and we win it.  The balancing I am not complaining about, only the fact that WG was never meant to be run by 10-15 people per side.

One person is setting up a VOA 10 and needs healers, so I PM them but don’t get added.  Another person does the same and I get in on that.  We do all the bosses and I get the 10 man achievement on Emalon.  There is a mage in here named Cann (symbol over the a) which all heroic sanctified gear and he pulls 14k dps.  Wow.   He asks for Power Infusion which I oblige when I can. The other priest healer drops at the last boss but I single heal it just fine.

I get in again later around the time WG is active and queue and get the please wait thing. I get in shortly after and we have nearly 5 full groups.  I’m in at 23 minutes and the horde already has 9 vehicles, and by the time I’m finally taken down by several horde just outside of the west keep, and by the time I rez back up, they have taken the fort and won.  Well, it was quick at any rate.

Later on again I queue for a bg before our guild events are supposed to start and get IoC. Half of us run to docks and get wiped OUT.  I head back that way and get flattened by two horde and no alliance around to heal. The battle quickly turns into a, why are we even bothering kind of fight. We make zero progress and get rolled and I make out with a whole 35 honor.

We get together for the weekly with is Malygos and I have never done it, on any character.

It takes 3 tries to get the flight part down and it throws me because I cannot see the drakes hp bars, and my interface doesn’t show their damage.

I swear the last phase is seizure inducing though.   We get it!

We then run VOA 25, and like usual nothing for priest drops.  We do a full clear. Well, I give up and just buy my T10 pants for my 4 piece set.

I run a IoC, again, we lose, again. Next is AV and we get to the boss guy, everyone runs in and I die straight away.  So yeah, that was good. I get nowhere near there after that, but we do win. 139 honor.

After that is EotS and these NEVER go well and we get steam rolled at DR. Then everyone deserts me at FRR so I leave too. Then it’s all “why is no one defending it?” Um because everyone left?  We DO win it though! 89 honor on that.  I’ve had enough for today.

Fing Tenacity

I log in for the last 2 bosses for ICC 25, but WG is up in 5 so I ask if it’s ok to run that.  Yes.  I fight against a warlock for a few minutes, and a rogue assists me, but he kills us both.  Fing tenacity.  I also dislike non healing classes that can heal themselves, that seems to be unfair.   Anyway I run into Rexe as per usual 🙂

We win and I get my 100 wins and earn Wintergrasp Veteran achievement.

We start ICC up and once again on Sindragosa, some people need the fight explained.  I’m sorry but this late in the expansion, if you don’t know the fights, go watch a tankspot video, read up on it on wowhead, something.  There is no excuse for not knowing fights that are 6+ months old. None.  We wipe on the first air phase immediately when the ice blocks come out since someone didn’t run down the stairs, and it’s painfully obvious who because of the symbols placed on everyone.  Besides that we had several people die in first phase.

Second run, was also a wipe. The fail rogue from last night, is busy being fail again tonight as well, and explains his dps isn’t that high because he’s trying not to wipe us.  Of course that angry’s up the blood because his fail is wiping an entire raid.  Why he was invited back I don’t know.  This fight is aggravating  because it just takes one person to hose the entire raid.

Third run we got to the third phase, and I survived the wipe.  It’s pointed out the fail rogue is wearing mostly pvp gear. sigh.  We fail again at last phase the 4th time, but I survive again due to someone getting me in their ice block.   Everyone starts discussing blame and someone says “Roll for blame” and I LOL for real on that. Next go I die in an ice tomb, even throwing a renew on myself before it hit.  Well, at least I don’t have to do much dead. Dying gives one good picture opportunities though.   After that point though I lose track of the wipes.  We get it finally and I get Exalted with Ashen and get my new ring. I was dead through that, however, died at like 100k health on the boss.

The LK run went slightly better than last time, and we got into the Defile stages but after 2 attempts people said they had to go.

They talked about reforming for 10 man and said to stay in raid if you wanted to go, which I did, only I was kicked or disbanded and not needed.  Sigh.  I’m destined to never get that title, EVER.  Maice on Nilvana promises he’ll get it for me though.  No pressure, man 😀

Turns out the reformed 10 man got the LK kill sometime within the hour after the 25 man broke up.  So depressing!  I only seem to get into the fail runs, over and over, never the ones that get it.

Wrathful

I need a few hundred honor more for another Wrathful piece, so I run EotS which we lose like always, then WSG which was a decent run but we lost.  I still don’t understand why people can see someone sapped, especially a healer, and just run away.  I’ve also experienced a decent amount of people, usually DK’s, that are fighting a horde with me assisting on heals, then they bail as the horde turns to me and just run away.  That, sucks.

After that I get another Strand, and earn Ancient Courtyard Protector achievement, and we win!  I have enough honor for my Wrathful Satin robe now, and I was going to replace that last but there’s nothing stopping me from just saving the pretty Relentless so I went with the robe upgrade.

Going to try to keep the graphics quality up too but I have to turn it down in some raids, especially Marrowgar because it makes it next to impossible to move.

I run a few more BGs and try to take some action screenshots but as in all games making pretty pvp shots makes your skills suffer greatly.  Here is me getting whomped in Strand by some orc brute

I fraps’d part of an Ancients battle but the way I pvp is not very pretty, both using raid frames and health bars to heal, so either it looks awful to watch or hiding the bars, I don’t heal so well. That or it’s zoomed out too far to be very pretty.

There’s been no one on in guild all morning, no friends on. I log out.

The ICC 25 this time takes only an hour to get together, and we start off trying Marrowgar on heroic.  This will be my first time on 25 heroic anything besides Gunship.   Some tards pull him right away and wipe it. Then on the way back in, someone triggers a trap.  The bear tank starts arguing about how it should be done, in addition to being annoying with an add on that tells everyone what they did wrong or how they died.

I die on the second attempt on a bone spike no one was killing. Then the bear tank pulls trash when no one is ready and quite a few people die. Sigh. Then the fail bear tank says he forgot his girlfriend was coming over, and had to leave.  There was much mocking of that needless to say.  Prior to all this I am discussing gear with Nilvana/Maice and I say I still have a 245 ring. I lose the roll on the ring from Marrowgar, but then win Ring of Maddening Whispers from Deathwhisper, which was probably better for me anyway.

Flipping to heroic gunship resets trash, again. Annoying.  I do not win the roll for the mark off Saurfang, but Nilvana/Maice gives me his winning one. WOO! Now I can upgrade my robe to sanct, two ugrades in one night, SWEET.

It seems most people don’t listen to loot rules when it’s one main spec need, and they win something, then immediately roll need on something else too. They say it applies per wing but with 25 people if someone hasn’t won something, that seems unfair to someone who has won, so I do not roll on Trauma. I do roll on Holiday’s Grace however but don’t win.

We get down Putricide and I get 25 Plagueworks.

Then on Blood Queen, people can’t seem to handle the biting and we wipe, then the second try some stupid dps bites me, and I bite someone but the rest get MC’d and we wipe again. And again, and again.

We did get her down with most of everyone dead, though I stayed up with another healer, one tank, and a few dps. Got the 25 man achievement there too. And won another mark!  Gonna be using up all my gems tonight looks like.

We also get down Dreamwalker so there is another achievement. I go get my gloves, upgrade to sanct, then upgrade my robe too. Place the gems and enchants, and it’s late as well so I GO TO BED!

Epic “I gotta go” excuses

Tonight we have a 25 man ICC raid going on. The only rogue talks a great deal and says things like “if this goes bad I’m chopping off all your balls”. I say that’s ok some of us have no balls so go ahead. And this is in vent so it’s clear I am missing some balls.

I also notice that when people leave a raid they don’t just say “sorry I gotta go”. There is always some epic drawn out excuse that I could really care less about. You gotta go, that’s fine. Tonight we got “my wife just got back from the hospital where her dad is dying of cancer so I have to go coddle her”. And whether that story is true or not “I need to go” is more than enough. Yes, I’m a bitch, this is not news.

I did get a new weapon though, Frozen Bonespike. I prefer the maces because it waggles on my draenei ass which I think is cute but upgrade is an upgrade.

We do fine until Putricide then wipe that up 3 times in a row because of mistakes like not dpsing the slimes, getting hit by the orange slime, etc. But it’s late and I need to get to bed so no big deal.
