Early yesterday I predicted that we would lose Arkwin and Ith today, and we did.  At around 7:30 only a few people for the raid were on, and at 8 we were still missing a number of people, and had to try to pug which I knew would greatly displease the great and mighty Arkwin.  We got in BoT with a full raid only Stonewell left in a huff and “alt f4’d” according to Arkwin when he said that we were not doing heroics (“with this group are you kidding me?”) tonight.  I waited for the inevitable when 8:20 hit and we were still not pulling, and he said something along the lines of “you guys all suck, this has been the worst guild ever” and he and ith gquit in the same breath.  He logged vent so he didn’t hear me call him an asshole.

Then he logged in his alt and said this

before I blocked him. Chalk it up to yet another mage being a douchebag prick. Yes, go find a perfect group that always has people on, on time all the time and never makes mistakes.  I wish you luck.  I prefer a more forgiving play style but I do play it “as a hobby”.

Anyway we reformed and got up to Cho’gall down then called it.  We have not been in BWD at all this week.

Last night we ran BWD, which Arkwin told us to study up on the heroic fights for Chimaeron, Maloriak and Atramedes, which I did, and it turns out no one could even flip it to heroic.

We had me healing as disc again, Seyfer holy paladin, and a druid who insisted on tank healing. We got up to Nef and tried a few times and got him down to 48%. I was again irritated with the raid when Arkwin, during the trash before Omnotron, told me to stop standing on him even though I don’t recall being near anyone, then when SJ said something to him privately, said aloud in vent that I did the same thing “last week” and that I repeatedly “chased me around” the last raids too. I don’t know if that was supposed to be funny? I take comments about things I may be doing wrong in a raid seriously, and serious comments that are meant to be a joke, are not funny to me. Then inexplicably we invited the bitchy bear tank Ith who asked for an invite so he could have guild repairs. Another joke? I don’t know I don’t like these guys at all.

When Awful Raiders Leave

Instead of trying Nef again last night we did Throne, with me on the platform with Rohash with Arkwin only.  I had respec’d to a “PVE” disc spec for this and swapped out some glyphs.  We got that down then tried Ala’kir.

Now, we haven’t tried this seriously like, ever.  And the last attempt was at least a month ago, if not longer.  I wiped the raid once meleeing Ala’kir like a dumb ass when I got too close when I right clicked to turn my camera.  I winced the second I saw my character hit the boss waiting for the backlash.  The warlock also did this once as well but tried to deny it even though someone was posting exactly how much damage he did to it.  The entire night we were treated to a bitchy pissy bear tank, Arwkin and another guy making snarky, rude and unnecessary comments.  Stuff like “gee I wish we weren’t raiding with retards” and “can you guys not be retards?” and lamenting that he doesn’t think there’s anyone competent on the entire server, and so on.    We got to the third phase once or twice but the whole thing was quite unpleasant.  Yes I know I got caught in the squall line, random insults about that isn’t helping. We called it early.

I then tried to do 3’s with Nilv and Dontpuntme but we only got one win and then it was a little too late.  So I did not get my arena cap for either character this week.

Darth left the guild stating he doesn’t think anyone likes him, wants to go to another server, and feels we should be downing 25m content and we aren’t.  Um, seriously? We can barely put together our first raid team, much less 25 COMPETENT people. But ok whatever.  People that aren’t that good at raiding that leave to find a better raiding guild confuse me.

Douche-bag mage was a douche

Ran a BH 25 and ended up with about 13k dps as fire.  The firelord gloves dropped, and I rolled a 23 against the only other mage in the group who of course out rolled me.  I had a sneaking suspicion about it so I inspected them and they ALREADY HAD the fire lord gloves.  This, just reinforces my believe that NEARLY all mages are DOUCHE BAGS.

I sent them (Lune) a message saying, don’t you already have the gloves? They said yes they did, why did you need them?  Yes.  Knowing mages fing douchy ass nature, since they admitted they were just going to DE them (DOUCHEBAG OMG) I offered them a Maelstrom crystal in exchange, which they douchily did not turn down.  Douche.

So now at least I have one piece of t11 on my mage.  I did have Grips of the Failed Immortal thanks to Stoutspectre way back when on that Tank quest, but I’d like to get my t11 on this character since it’s pretty sweet looking.

Did BWD last night and buzzed through to Nefarian, made a couple of attempts, which were my first real tries, and then called it.

I was asked first if I had a dps spec, which no I do not. So that meant another healer wanted to go. That ticked me off a little to start. I’m disc and holy. I was asked if I could go disc and I said fine. During the Omnotron right I was asked if I went disc and I was probably a little testy when I answered yes because you told me to. Then Seyfer and Arkwin pm’d me saying I was healing a lot better and such. I’m sure it just looked better on the charts; I wasn’t doing any more healing than in holy, and it felt like I was actually doing less. It probably just looked good because I was spamming prayer of healing which ticks off Divine Aegis on several people and makes my numbers jump. I had around 10k healing this time around but let’s be honest, no one was ever dying when I was on holy either, unless it was a mistake of some kind.

I prefer holy in raids because I can renew, CoH on the run, and I like my speedy bubble and guardian spirit. Pain suppression is crap compared to that IMO, and pw barrier is bleh too. I liked it better when it was just a giant PW shield. To cap the night off one of the other guys said something about getting that disc priest they said is so good, so I honestly felt like I’m on the verge of being kicked out of the raid group for someone else.
