T12

Last night we cleared the rest of the bosses and were finished at like, 9:30? I think.  I had a number of stupid deaths, wasn’t really happy.  Died at the end of Rhyolith skipping over a fire trail I couldn’t really see because of where the boss was, died on the trash to Rag TWICE, once when I was being spun around casting penance on Jeeves and again camera angle made me miss I was standing in shit, and didn’t get out of that fire plume fast enough on the dragons and died. Sigh.  One of those nights I guess.

Anyway, have 4 pc t12 now when I was the only roll (21 ffs!) on the shoulders token.

We also had um, 2 wipes on Baleroc I think because I wasn’t getting heals off quick enough and was confused at first about when to switch.  We two healed that one when usually we have three.  After that we tried heroic Throne of the 4 Winds but that proved to be too much and did it on normal (I recall Peejay saying it was heavily comp dependant) and tried heroic Ala’kir and ended up just doing that normal too.

Damn u ugly Skit

Finally got “Storm Capper” in EoTS even though we lost terribly.  I held the flag for 5+ mins and we didn’t get any other bases.  Alliance was busy in mid, even though WE HAD THE FLAG. It took 3 of these (call to arms) to get a win.

Last night we did some little side battles to get Skitmo part of that legendary staff.

at one point he turned into that awful druid healing tree model, to which someone said “damn skit you ugly!” ha ha, no kidding.

We spent the rest of the night finally getting Heroic Shannox down, then tried Heroic Rhyolith but didn’t get that.  My numbers in disc spec, are impressive at anywhere from 12 to 20k.  I still feel it has to do with how recount counts the healing though, since I am certainly not physically doing any more healing than I was as holy.  I’m hoping we do regulars tomorrow so I can maybe have a chance at the shoulders.

The hunter we’ve been bringing, Turtles, has been eh, a bit of an annoyance.  Lots of not listening, like missing the cauldron being put down even though it was announced, being told repeatedly to eat the feast, doing the wrong thing in raids and flat out admitting they “weren’t listening” to the instructions. Etc.  Kind of frustrating.

Deadmines

Ran a regular heroic random last night and once again got Deadmines. I complained mightily about this when I entered and DK said either I had bad luck or I was “inept” but didn’t want to insult me by assuming inept right off the bat. I think being in mostly Firelands gear would have answered that already. Anyway it went poorly to the point that the dk died and he agreed it was just my bad luck and said something insulting about the tank keeping aggro. He left. The tank died to the first boss at the very end and then I left.

After that I got a Grim Batol which took like over an hour since the tank was in ilevel 322, and didn’t know the place at all. We did finish that thought but explaining each fight along the way was annoying.

Ran bgs with Peejay after that, won the first one, then was starting to lose the second one when Rayzo asked if I still needed Nef. YES. Dropped out of that and joined a 25m raid for Nefarion with Peejay who offered to come. We did Atramedes, Chimaeron, then Nef. Brdlady was there, doing terrible dps like usual, and left before nef. We wiped a number of times on Nef but Peejay started organizing things and tanking the adds and we finally got it. I was at 13k heals doing Cinor, who was tanking Nef, and healing Peejay since I was not sure he was going to live with the other healers doing 8k heals or less. But we got it and I FINALLY got my shattered title. I tried to roll for the healing mace but one of the terrible healers got it. I really didn’t need it but damn I wanted it.

Back to Disc

Tonight we did everything but Ragnaros, which we wiped on for 2 hours. We got to the last phase once, where I foolishly stood a little too close to a meteor thing and when it bounced to turn the other way, it landed on me. After that the dps kept letting the fires touch the hammer which wiped the raid over and over.

But I picked up my Legwraps of the Cleansing Flame, Stinger of the Flaming Scorpion from Staghelm, and Heartstone of Rhyolith. I was asked to go disc for these fights, because my numbers look way better. I honestly do not understand how that can be. As holy I pepper people who I know will be taking damage with renew, keep prayer of mending bouncing around on the tanks, CoH when needed and PoH when that’s on CD, and depending on which chakra I’m in, I keep renew rolling with Serenity. As disc I keep 2 bubbles going usually, penance on CD, PoM on CD, and… I just spam PoH. Yes, I spam that one spells, which ticks of Divine Aegis and whatever else and my numbers are boosted a ton. Frustrating. I’m just glad I can cap with raids and don’t have to do 5 mans since I still prefer holy for that.

So, I respec’d my holy to pve disc. I’m back to disc/disc like in Wrath.

Treecat

We tried Heroic Shannox tonight, and got him down to something like 12% when he just vanished and the raid ended. I was having difficulty healing the people getting raged so I was assigned to tank heal Pawpados, but after a few more wipes I offered to go disc, since absorbs seem like a better idea in the fight. It’s easier to see someone getting targeted and pre-bubble imo at least.

Our druid healer, Treecat left at some point, why I don’t know, so we 9 manned and 2 healed regular Shannox and Beth, both I did as disc. I wouldn’t really say I prefer it but it was my main spec all through wrath. The absorbs appeal to me. Anyway, I got the Funeral Pyre staff this time, which I’d like to use in my disc off spec and hopefully get a healing main hand to go with my healing offhand at some point. We tried Rhyolith a few times but I guess the dps just wasn’t there. I was really hoping to maybe get shoulders tonight but eh who knows.

Oh, and earlier in the week I did Cho’gall with Peejay, since I swore prior to the raid that Fall of mortality would drop, and it did. Only I rolled a 20. sigh.

Raid was called, and the druid never did come back online.
