Blazing Hippogryph

I log in this afternoon and catch the last 10 seconds of WG. I see a paladin flying around on a red hippogryph with a red flaming tail, something I’ve never seen before. I ask them (Shardwynn) where it comes from and they say from a TCG Loot card. NICE. It’s the Blazing Hippogryph http://www.wowhead.com/item=54069

I don’t feel like PVEing much today so I get Strand and we win, then get AV and 30 mins later we lose. Isle of Conquest we win. I spent my time in the guns during most of that. Then we lose WSG but that is mostly because a group of me and 3-4 others spend the majority of the time trying to beat down a shadow priest. I think they are a LITTLE OVERPOWERED right now. A little.

I then get Arathi and a mouthy night elf DK by the name of Hotter was berating everyone for being terrible, and I told him to shut his mouth NOW. Then he said we at the LM sucked because we lost it, I said you’re right a warlock and me can take on 5 horde. He comes to LM I assume to watch me and the shit talk stops after that. And we win, so I get to ask “so who sucks NAO?” XD The upside of that is now I can afford my new pants. I drop one Mystic King’s Amber for a Potent Ametrine this time but keep the same leg enchant.

How does he um… yeah.

Tonight we have a 25 man LK run, just the Lich King. It takes until around 8 to start and just as we pull the LK, everyone gets punted off the server.  We log back in and we’re all at the START of the instance.  We also see that Marrowgar is back up.  Uh oh.

One of the druid healers says they are so good they put the rest of us to shame, something to that effect.  I tell them not to worry we aren’t bothered by massive overhealing.

Anyway we wipe a few times but the highlight of the night is the new mage (Brdlady) to the guild being a cry baby about no one saying hi, and not being invited to the raid we’re doing, and blah blah etc.  I’m almost ashamed to play a mage.  Crying about not getting in a raid that is a continuation is just annoying.  Did you get invite? No.  We already have 3 mages, we don’t need more.  And you didn’t get an invite. Everyone starts dropping and they call the raid, so 2 hours totally down the drain.

We run Black Temple, with 11 people, on 25  man raid.

I recognize the Gorefiend guy from some quests I did in Outlook way back in the day too.

Found it amusing that the face boss in here looks a lot like the Devourer of Souls in FoS though.

These guys brought the other healer and I nearly to our knees out of MP. Also the Mother Shahraz encounter I had to pop Divine Hymn and we still lost a few people, just massive, massive damage to deal with.

And finally I get to hear the famous YOU ARE NOT PREPARED line!

Yay! I get the Black Temple Achievement.  All I have to say is wow, poor concubines.  Both for trying to beat our asses and um.  Illidan and pals are uh, kind of huge.

When 250k hp use to be A LOT.

This morning I transmute an Eye of Zul, then run WG.  This time I have help with the horde killing the guns in the front.  With Tenacity horde druids are really insane, and we needed 5 people and me popping Divine Hymn just to take one down.  He had something like 250k hp.

Afterwards I offer to help Rashill, a DK, with the Bones and Arrows quest but we do not run into any horde.

I then run EotS and we lose like we always do, because no one knows how to play.  Alliance likes to take bases, then run off and leave it wipe open.  Over and over. Arathi Basin goes the same way. I am glad my mass buffs no longer take components though, that is for sure.  Using 20 or so in a few battlegrounds was annoying.

I get Isle of Conquest next and we’re told to go Docks and Workshop but we get rolled at both. it’s fairly obvious we’re going to lose straight away. I am wrong however, and it takes many, many minutes to lose. I do earn the All Over the Isle achievement however.

Next one up is Arathi and I’m left to myself to take the mine and defend it.  I remind people I am not healing on the road and if they want heals they need to defend a base. No one comes to the mine for several minutes.

I then head to Farm where everyone deserts me and I have to kill a horde warlock myself.  On my disc spec. Sigh.

I note that disc HEALERS are meant to HEAL people but no one seems to care. Somehow we pull a win out of that, though. I am about 300 honor away from Wrathful pants however.

I get Arathi again and this time we lose. Bleh.

I’ve played too much

Logged in and our VOA 25 group I signed up for doesn’t appear to be going.

I queue up for random BGs and we lose Arathi, what else is new.  I have a stupid paladin auto following me (AFing) as a ghost and repeatedly report him as afk, since this is a bot being a jerk and avoiding the auto afk kick.

I queue again and get EoTS. I die and get caught in the rez loop over and over. Then we lose. My healing is very low because Alliance never bothers to defend bases, so should I be defending I typically have no one TO heal.

Then WG pops and I go run that.  People that want VOA groups but don’t run WG are lame, btw. The guild calendar said we’d be doing VOA 25, but instead nearly an hour later, with Cinor crying about it, they decide to do the weekly instead and I get passed over because I want to run WG instead, as was sort of planned.  I’m kind of pissed.  But hey I’m a healer I can get the weekly without guild help. Just as I’m done with WG they tell me they’ve filled my spot even though I said we’d be done shortly. They said they would run VOA after the weekly, which will be foolish because you need to set up or join the 25 man versions right after WG is won or you’ll never get it going. At least, IMO. Soooo they ran the weekly THEN set up a VOA 25. I’m glad I ran a WG win so people who didn’t bother could take advantage of VOA. /grumble

We do get that down however.  I dislike healing with other disc priests unless we divide up who is bubbling what otherwise you waste time checking who already has the Weakened Soul debuff.

Then I run another BG and get Isle of Conquest, but we lose because we’re uncoordinated, totally. Got 49 honor out of it though.

I then run Arathi we which lose, but sort of under odd circumstances.  A rogue gets me solo at LM, I call out for help and a DK, Dargon-Kael’thas (with the two dots over the O) comes up and saves me.  We start a convo while I throw out Holy Nova to knock the rogue out of stealth should they still be around and he lays down whatever DK’s do, to do the same.  And even with us both doing that, both standing around the flag, somehow the banner turns to Horde and they win. We gripe in PMs back and forth for a bit and they say they will miss me anytime from now on.

Yes, I’ve played way too much today.  I run my daily dungeon with Maice and get Nexus AGAIN. I throw out some Holy Fire and Smites to keep myself awake.  Then I call it a night!

Quick, Hide the Bones

Logged in and transmuted a gem, then queued for a random bg and got WSG.  We’re coordinated from the get go by Sonar-Illidan and win.  I helped run in the flag with another shadow priest, then ran in twice with the paladin.  I then earn the achievement Supreme Defender when I pop the horde Paladin with an army of healers on him, in the nose with a Shadow Fiend.

I’m back up to 633 honor already.  I take a look at the Wrathful healer gear and it’s not bad looking, though not as awesome as the Relentless. Of course I may go for the satin set for the crit rating and the red and yellow gem slots however. That would probably suit my spec better.

I run WG since it’s up, and Rexe is there.  We win though it is close because the horde was putting up a bit of a fight on the east side, while completely ignoring the west.  We run through on the west side and I use smite, holy fire and penance to take out the guns.  I’m not sure how much it works but I throw PW Barrier on the sieges as they are breaking down the relic door.  I believe it does protect them, though. That gets up to 701 honor.

I then get into a VOA 10 group.  I’m really not sure why people in a 10 man, need repeated role checks to see who is doing what.  I set my role as a healer, they send a role check and I select healer.  They then ask people to type in 1 if they are a healer, to which I reply “I’d type 1 but I already said I was healing twice”. We do ok with the stone boss though a warrior is griping about people managing aggro, though everyone seems to be pulling it. We wipe on the frost boss, then try again and even me pulling out the big heals as fast as possible, I can’t keep even up the off tank using using pw shield, mending, penance, every second it comes up, and spamming greater heal.  I used up Divine Hymn on the first wipe and PW barrier on the second. The off tank bails.

We get a new tank. By the way, the DK T10 set is smart looking on night elf males.  The helmet covers their awful faces and they are taller than humans. XD

You can see the failure of our wipes littered all over the floor ><  The raid leader stalls up the group some how taking all damn day to go from Dal to VOA even with a portal.  We get that boss down though once again I cannot keep 2 tanks up at the same time. I have no idea what the other priest was doing, but it’s clear they did very little when I pull up recount and they did 28% of healing and I did 60%. I also did 71% of absorbs and they did 28%.  So again, they weren’t doing much of anything.  I mean I could tell that even with recount not loading, since no one was getting healed unless I did it, but damn. The awesome part is they also had 33% overhealing.

We get down the fire boss with both tanks down and maybe 3 people left. I drop group after that.
