This morning I log in and turn in my weekly quest, then pick up my Wrathful gloves. I went with the satin set for the critical strike rating though I suppose I should have gone mooncloth since that actually has a healer bonus. Oh well.

Queued up for a WG and had quite the time. I nearly killed a hunter and made him run for cover at 2% health, then survived 3 other horde and a gun shooting at me for quite some time. Even though I killed all the east guns, by the time I come back, they are all back up. We lose since absolutely no one was working together. Sigh.

I like this offhand and FINALLY killed the Lich King

Tonight is the ICC continuation of Sindragosa and Lich King 25 man.  Tonight we have a rogue who is giving better stories than the guy with a parent in the hospital, this one says his grandfather died, he was kicked from guild, and now apparently his add ons are making him have like 2 FPS.  Plus he got booted from the raid because of said lag and apparently he was locked to just the LK.  It’s very /wrists.

It takes several attempts to get her down, and I win by 1 point on a roll for the Sundial of Eternal Dusk.  Which is funny because I just bought a PVP off hand I now don’t need.  Oh well!  It is a COOL looking offhand. Some people continually got hit by the bombs as well, including Shottie.  I am eyeballing him in particular since he joined Relentless many months ago, whined and cried about getting into raids, got a bunch of gear, then left.

The LK fight on 25 man, we failed like 5 times then gave up.  A few highlights, Shottie clearly didn’t know the fight, someone put down a train, someone dropped defile dead center of the group,  etc.

We reform for 10 man where someone says we should get it in one shot no problem.  Well, that IS good news.  Then they decide they want to do a difficult achievement instead, which pretty much means I won’t get the kill tonight.  But, I was wrong, and I get the KILL FINALLY!!!!

I must say, it wasn’t really even that hard.  Granted I’ve done it repeatedly these last oh, 6 months, but before I knew it we were all dead and past the point of failure, rezzed up and killed him.  Amazing.

Afterwards we ran a full clear of Naxxramus.  The only trouble I had was with Heigan the Unclean, where I died since I really didn’t know the fight.  The others I was able to learn on the fly and follow directions.  We ran it with 8 people although it went slower since we had a druid doing UNDER 2k dps.

I haven’t seen a fight like that anywhere else, either.

We wiped once on Sapphiron, but I think a few people never saw the fight and I’ve only done it once, months and months ago.  We get it on the second try.

and then we got him down too.  I ended up with many, many achievements that night. I have to write them down there is not enough room to screenshot.

Deathwing broke my stuffs!

Someone linked me to patch notes that said that Deathwing shattered all the old alchemy vials.  I thought that was pretty funny, then I looked in my inventory and indeed found my broken vials. I have a Tainted Vial, Shattered Vial, and Melted Vial. So sure enough, they were broken!

The ICC 25 is supposed to be today but by 8pm we don’t have a full group. We fill up about 20 mins later though.  For some reason the raid lock out thinks we have 2 bosses down.  We start to go Gunship but it wasn’t toggled to Heroic, so we all die and flag it to Heoric, only now Marrowgar is up and it’s a fresh run again.  Weird.

I win the roll on the Bone Sentinels Amulet which is a nice upgrade for me, with a roll of 97.   Of course after gunship Ring of Rapid Ascent Heroic drops which is even nicer, but I cannot roll because of the loot rules since I already won.  Darn. I could cry because my mage necklace, the Amulet of Silent Eulogy drops, but clearly I’m not on my mage here.

We do ok until Fester when someone does something wrong and I die real fast, along with everyone else. I believe a ranged ran in when they were suppose to stay out, and wiped everyone.  Wonderful.  Then Shottie, who had been in Relentless until he got enough gear to leave, asked for vent info.  A little late for that I think.  We wipe again when someone pulls who is not a tank, and gets us all killed. We’re not sure who, although Fester ran to the right before any tank grabbed it.

We do get to see the new raid icons though, which I have not seen before.

and on the third try we get it, since whoever was being stupid stopped being stupid.

During Rot I get asked to dispel and I quick flash up healbot which is what I use to dispel and cure disease.  We one shot that no prob. The wand I need drops but I roll a crappy 27 and don’t win it.

As I’m standing around noticing everyone with Kingslayer titles, I go to check mine and totally forget I have the Twilight Vanquisher title, and put that on. Twilight Vanquisher Ocyla. I like that.

Later we wipe on the Blood Queen for a combination of several reasons, one people not watching their threat and getting destroyed right away, and the other with people not biting and getting mind controlled.  We recover through 2 MC’d people but after that it does us in.  Next time we wipe again, with people not biting. Again.  We get her down on the third try though.

I win a mark so I can upgrade my pants to the sanctified version after the Queen, and then we do Dreamwalker before calling it a night. Oh also I roll a 3 on a wand I needed. sigh. I high-five the mage that also rolled a 3, though we both lose it to another priest.

I log in and run a bg, which is AV and we lose.  79 honor.  The battles in here lately have been pretty fun though.

Later at night I try to queue for a BG and wait 13 mins and get nothing.  Odd.  Then I put on my PVE gear and queue for a dungeon.  While I’m waiting for that someone named Bananaslug tells me I have a great guild name, which by the way is “Bloodbathed and Beyond”.   Silverveil is still in Relentless, which is also a great name.   The dungeon takes quite a while to come up and it’s Pit of Saron. We lose one guy right away and a warlock takes over. The fight goes fine until the last boss where the stupid mage just stands there and does nothing the entire Tyrannus fight.  He was taking damage from the starting spot but I wasn’t about to run over there and leave the tank alone.   At least we get it though.

Afterwards it’s back into the PVP gear, queue up and get Isle of Conquest. We lose, 36 honor.  Queue again, same BG. There is much sniping in battleground chat about who is doing what wrong and all the insults start piling in. We’re playing badly, very much so.  However some of the fights go for so long, without me dying, I have to retreat and drink to get my mp back. We lost, I earn 66 honor. 200 HK’s.

I then run WG and we win it, and I do the majority of the calling out of stuff.  Recount shows I had 79% healing too.  I’d like to get a VOA at this point.  I get in one, so we’ll see how it goes this time. Getting enough people to do ANY voa has been a challenge lately. It seems to be a combination of less people able to participate in WG, most players taking a break until Cata, and now the addition of not many people hanging out in Dalaran.  No one  wants to wait like 20 mins for someone to come from Eastern Kingdom to do it either.

We’re only trying for the 10 man raid here and after about 5 minutes of waiting, 2 of the 7 people leave.  I am hoping Blizzard does SOMETHING about this area or it’s going to be a ghostland.    When another 5 minutes passes and we can’t even find dps… eeeh.  I wonder if this area is just being phased out.  Anyway all of a sudden several people recall that they did 25 voa, which now locks them out of 10, and 2 people leave.  That must have dropped last patch because I didn’t know that either.

Then another person drops because they ‘prefer to wait for 25’.  They will be waiting a very long time for that. We get the frost boss down no prob. I do most of the healing at 70% of healing done.  It really didn’t feel like anyone else was healing, at all. The other healer then admits they have 3k gs. We get all the bosses down however, because I rock, even with 9 people there. They also go on to say this is only their second time raid healing and they feel bad I did most of the healing (Branders is the healer btw).  I tell them I am use to pvp healing so this is very similar as far as speed and target switching goes and since we didn’t wipe it’s no worries.  I suggest they go heal in battlegrounds if they want to practice raid healing.

I get in and right away pop into a WG.  It was a lot of fun, I killed an orc hunter by myself and with the help of a shaman killed a paladin. Who I blew a kiss to but I forgot the name XD

We work together and communicate, helping defend the sieges and we take the fort back.

I join up for a VOA 25 only they get DPS and a few heals first and no tanks.  Then we have people saying stupid stuff like, I have a tank but I want to test my shammy dps. I say we need more dps like a hole in the head and go do that shit on a training dummy.  Then another guy says he has a tank that will be home in 5 mins, and about 15 mins later he says again they will be home in 5 mins.  I reply “5 mins, Turkish”

After all that fuss we wipe then everyone leaves. The problem appears to be healers, since only 3 people were doing heals. I asked if we can do a VOA 10 and the RL says they still want to do a 25.  I’m not waiting all that time again for another fail 25.  I leave.  40 mins totally wasted.

I queue up for a random dungeon and get boring old VH. Fortunately that is not fail.

After that I queue for a bg and get WSG. We lose that, 47 honor, and 2 killing blows for me. Rocking. I think rather than a holy off spec I’m gonna pick up the dps version of disc. I think I’ll like it.

I run a Strand bg as this spec, with my keybinds set up to mostly dps and some healing through penance, renew, shields, and will have to work in flash heal somewhere.  We win, 135 honor for me with 4 billing blows, 3 deaths, 21 HKs.  Not bad. I like this a lot.  Next one we lose, 46 honor, and my damage and healing is about equal.

I queue up for WG and get told to wait. I don’t get in.

I spend some time helping Maice get his Pilgrim achievements by getting turned into a turkey on some horde characters.

Later I queue again and have to wait, and get in when some walls are already down.  We end up losing the fort.

I run a WSG after that and we win, 3/3, I have 7 killing blows, 2 deaths, 71 HK’s and earn 113 honor.

After that is a EotS and we’re doing well but lose.  I think making larger  battlegroups, or just one (If forget what they did) helps a lot since we’re not always paired with solid pvp teams all the time now.  I think I ended up with like 40 honor. I love when people say “no one is healer” or “only so in so is healing” when I’m like the second higher in the entire BG and they don’t mention me.

I put off purchasing the PVP gloves for right now and buy a pvp off hand to replace my very old Shriveled Heart that I got in an ICC 5 man.  I still need an upgrade to my Royal Moonshround bracers that I put on the second I hit 80.   Doesn’t matter much with the expansion coming out soon but I’m still sore about not finding upgrades for those spots.  Using PVP items in PVE doesn’t make me happy.
