Baradin Hold

Did BH today, and borrowing Lemm’s luck, won the roll on the Ruthless Gladiator’s Drape of Meditation, yay! Now I feel a little better about not capping out my conquest last week. A little.

Anyway the first BH group I got in, we failed 3x in a row then everyone left. It was a combo of dps not killing the adds fast enough, and the shaman healer doing next to no healing. During the trash I was doing 16k heals and they had 4k, and during the boss I had 12k and they had 8k. But it was that kind of fight where I felt I was completely solo healing, despite what recount said. I did not see anyone getting healed, unless I cast the heal. I’m not sure how they got 8k heals, but the feeling I got was that they weren’t. The next raid was a pally healer and me, and we both had around 10k heals, but it was clear the pally was actually HEALING, and we one shotted that.

Rhyolith Down

I need about 250 vp to getting a new robe so I decided to do some of the Z dungeons.  Ended up with a cool group in ZA talking about Final Fantasy games.  And, I really, REALLY do not understand how anyone could have like FF8, much less label it their favorite out of all of them. I really can’t.  Characters were all awful, story was AWFUL, having to drain magic spells from mobs was tedious as hell. Ugh.

I’ve noticed a trend lately though, where people who cause wipes in a dungeon group, leave.  Like every time lately.  Today a DK pulled a pathing mob, got 2 of us killed and then left.  A warlock got us killed not one shotting a scout, and left.

Got my Robe of the Cleansing Flame after a really annoying ZG.  We wiped on the last boss 4x and the only reason it wasn’t a 5th was because I got body slammed every single time and I know what to do. And, you know what irony is?  Irony is having a tank who had to be taught the fight because he didn’t know it, tell the DK who also didn’t know the fight how to do it, and that DK who missed every single body slam, then tell ME when to stand in the bubble.

After about 2 hours on Rhyolith, we got him down, finally.  Think it mostly had to do with, well, a few things.  One was topping everyone off before the stomp, another was letting his molten armor stacks drop so the stomp didn’t bring everyone to their knees regardless of health.  So a combination of both of those things, after the stomp, healing was not a prob. Nothing for me dropped though.

Then we went on to try Alysrazor

but, yeah, huge movement fight.  It took me a while to figure out that to survive the massive tornados that all I had to do was basically run in a little looping circle, following a tornado, turn, follow tornado, turn, repeat.  Got her to about 60%.

Kids

Alright I saw Almasi with the new draenei hairstyle, at least I think it’s new, and I stole it! On both draenei!

But, to be fair, it looks similar to my dwarfs hair in Lineage 2, and I loved that hairstyle.

Ran two dungeons today, and man trash took so long on some encounters I nearly fell asleep while healing.  I don’t feel like doing any troll dungeons for a while so I’m doing regulars, but I end up carrying people in low gear.  It hasn’t been too bad but it often is as bad as raid healing.

A lot of people were looking for healers for RBGs  today, and unfortunately I picked the wrong group,  We had a 10 year old who kept asking what the strategy was before we entered anything, an idiot who couldn’t connect to the server, couldn’t change channels in vent, etc, and we lost Gilneas, which some people hated for some reason, by 2000.. to ZERO.  Yes, we had zero resources.  I logged out after that.  Half the group was supposed to stay at LH with me, I only had 2 people, we some how had 4 people mark themselves as healers, and no one was peeling the shadow priest who keep mcing me over and over. I mean after I realized no one knew what they were doing I just broke LoS, but damn.   I honestly don’t know what the problem is with Gilneas either, seriously, what? It’s just like Arathi to me.

I love Tol Barad

Did some herb farming, first in a while, did my Firelands dailies, shaman’s JC dailies, etc. Ran an EPIC TB today, omg. Ran to WV which was the last base we needed, ran right up to the flag where at least 15 horde were standing, feared, divine hymn’d, threw around my normal heals, feared, DID NOT DIE, and we took it. Left that base, harassed by a DK the entire time, ran back to the center questing area, then turned around and killed a low health paladin who started attacking me too. Freaking, EPIC.

Got picked up for a BH by Nish, who is in Void now. We one shotted that but I again lost the roll on the spell pen necklace, and leather dropped. Ugh. Got an offer from him on a raiding spot in that guild but I already have one. He was pleasant enough though I know he rages sometimes. I forgot to get the TB victory quest though, and Ladiesman has been running on his warlock, which isn’t nearly as fun as the rogue.

Been a bit curious about guild banks lately. In Bloodbathed since I was an officer, I had mostly full rights to the bank, could move, take out anything except money, don’t believe I could rename tabs though. That bank normally kept around 271k in it, but there were fights about keeping repairs on a lot. That bank was mostly full of not so useful stuff, and rarely did anyone contribute to it. Most of the tabs were mostly full and just, messy. I had guild repairs pretty much all the time.

Victory or whatevers bank had around 70k in it, I could see all tabs, and was highly organized and full of raid-useful items. I did not have guild repairs on either char when I was there.

Action Nine News had about 107k in it, and was just as messy at the BB bank, and I was blocked from 3 tabs. I do not have guild repairs as a raider.

I hate crafting for dumb people

I’ve been running bgs a lot lately, and I’ve been on a win TEAR, no matter what character I’m on. I don’t know what someone did, but I only lost 1 in about 10 battles so far today.

So, what is up with people being cheap, pushy and rude when they ask you to link a profession? I may have mentioned that spat I had with Darthedwards a few months back, when he basically wanted me to provide him tailored 359 pants, and wanted me to supply my own mats, all free to him. Is that worth it to me? No. We’d have to be pretty good friends for that, and such friends, don’t cheap skate like that.

My story today is from a level 25 rogue named Sneakykillz who wanted me to make him a Glyph of Backstab, he said he will buy the mats. First he asked me to invite him. Why he couldn’t, I dunno. Then he asked me to come to him. Normally this would be a sign to just /ignore because it’s going to be a waste of my time, but occasionally I put up with obnoxious people to see what they will pull. I followed them to the inscription trainer, and they said they could not buy midnight inks. Then told me to follow them to the AH. They did not find any inks on there, so said they would pay 9 gold for the glyph and “is that fair?”. I pointed out that the glyphs were going for 59g on the AH. They replied “god I dnt have tht much and tht is bc ppl are greedy” then said “yes or no”. I pointed out that ink requires farming or buying of herbs, then milling them. But, for kicks I said I would check if I had any ink. They replied that, nevermind, they can just get someone ELSE to do it. Then I called them a pushy ass rogue and no I didn’t have any of those inks. Some people. Yeah lemme make something for you, someone I do not know, with my own mats, and take a huge loss on it. Why would I do that?
