Draenei to Human

I decided to make my priest who has been draenei this entire time, human, and paid for the race change.  I like the avatar set better on draenei than human but eh.  The racials will be better for my priest as a human though I’ll miss what I looked like.

At any rate, I like this instance a lot.

Our guild had a calendar item up to do DS25 last night but at the starting time only like 3 people were on and I just queued randomly.  Even though I had top healing, which I realize means absolutely nothing, I won no loot.  Yes one clearly has nothing to do with the other but when you see a spriest win your bracers or whatever and they are doing 10k dps it’s kind of slightly more annoying.

We had a few wipes during this raid but nothing that was a big deal.  Won nothing this time either.  And yes I  made my priest look exactly like my mage, so I keep wanting to blink for some reason.

So, I won’t be switching servers, I decided.  I almost wish I still had my shaman here.

Tonight I decided to try the raid finder. I got a group pretty fast, but they were like 98% from Ragnaros which is all Spanish speakers, I believe.  Anyway I couldn’t understand any of it, we wiped, I left.  I came in at 3/8 anyway and I wanted a fresh raid.

Queued for another, only waited a few minutes, and got the first boss down no problem.

The raid leaders name, as you might note, is Saxomophone, which is awesome and I told him (I assume) so.  And yes it was a Simpsons reference.

Wiped once on the second then got it down, lost both rolls on loot I wanted.  But when like 20 people are rolling on tokens what can you do. All the fights were explained well and movements announced via raid warnings.

We got all the bosses down, I was top dps on pretty much all the fights.

But get this, this one DK? Won EVERY SINGLE TIER TOKEN.  He won shoulders, pants, and gloves.  THREE FUCKING TOKENS TO THE SAME PERSON.  Yes I know, random is random, but when does that ever happen? Gosh.

Talked a bit with the Saxomophone person, who is on the Sargeras server, complimented their raid leading and such. Turns out it’s that guilds, guild master.  Anyway got a nice “hit us up if you are on our server” at the end.

End Time

Queued up for the new 5 mans again, got The End Time one (I think) and had some dumb wipes on trash but otherwise it went ok.  Nothing even close to cloth related dropped.  Went on to queue for the second one which I thought was pretty epic. The first boss was easy but you get to go with Illidan, with your whole party turned into night elves, in a sort of hunters stealth cover.  He grumbled cranky-like if you don’t pull fast too. I didn’t get a shot of that.

and, thank goodness this wasn’t a vehicle battle. I was all tensed up waiting for it, but we did land.  In this particular group I was with Euph on his warrior (from VoW), and the paladin healer and at least 1 other was speaking Portuguese.   The paladin healer, did next to no healing on me, on the last fight he gave me like 80k in heals.  My hp is roughly 138k total.

Around this point in the instance, when you fight the guy that i believe was Queen Ashara’s escort, we three dps died and it was finished by Euphanized and the paladin only.  Recount was kind of hilarious, the paladin had about 40% healing on Euph, 36% on himself, and 7-9% on all the dps.  Thanks, guy.  The fight continues after that point straight onto another boss,  so the rest of us just ran in again.  I had to mostly heal myself, I think the paladin had it out for dps in general.

I picked up a Cowl of Highborne Sorcerors to finally replace my 353 troll dungeon helm, which was the first piece of cloth stuff I’ve seen in like 4 runs.

So far I like these new dungeons, they aren’t really that hard but it’s enjoyable anyway and the one I posted above, is simply breathtaking to look at.

Stealth Changes

Some interesting changes came about to TB after the patch. You can no longer afk out, it doesn’t care if you flag afk. You can hearth out during a battle though, and you can drink non-mage drinks. Before you could not.

Patch Day

The patch dropped and I found myself not really sure what I wanted to transmog on this char.  For now I went with Robes of Dissention and Archus Greatstaff of Antonidas.  I like the firelands shoulders too much to switch.

The reforger was moved in with the void storage and transmog guys so it was packed.

Anyway got the Tyrael’s Charger and I like it but the legs look decidedly stubby for some reason. The wings also have a “breathing” motion which seems not quite as sweeping as Tyrael’s wings in Diablo 2.

Queued with Maice for the first new instance and even tank/heals it was an 8 minute queue.  Sealan said earlier it was 40 minutes.

He solo’d like the last 2 mill of Sylvanas, just like Garfrost back in the ICC 5 mans XD

And this fight was just fun

One of the quests gave me a 378 helm but the one I had is still better. Nothing dropped for me.
