Kissing rogues is probably a bad idea

Ran TB and won it, and I didn’t die the entire battle, and killed many horde.  The next two battles I didn’t get in at all though.

I went back to herbing in Twilight Highlands, after deciding to stick to only making a few flasks and selling the other herbs for income.   I need my transmute living elements for cloth for my mage, and farming enough herbs to make all flasks nets me no money at all for raid repairs and such.  I am going to focus on making the spirit and int flasks and sell the others.

Speaking of flask making, I made 5 Flowing Water and 5 draconic mind and not a single one proc’d.  UGH.  The Steelskin ones proc a few times though.

I catch a TB battle with Nilvana later in the afternoon, and on my way to defend a tower I run into a rogue named [url=http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/whisperwind/lad%C3%AEesman/advanced]Ladîesman[/url], yes with the character like that.  I’ve seen him many times in WG too. For some reason the alliance that were there all ran off and I was left to deal with the blood elf rogue myself, and I killed him and blew a kiss at the bones.  At 20% health I go to run off but he’s back already, saps me and kills me. Bleh.

Later I run into him again at Slagworks

and he shakes off dying at least twice by doing whatever rogue trickery they do to throw off my dots and vanish.  But, apparently I’ve made a fan.

We successfully defend, and it was quite a fun battle.

Later we run Baradin’s Hold and get it in the first try, unlike that other night where things went so bad.  A very nice pvp trinket drops, and Leonz says he’ll give it to me if he wins, which he does, and he gives it to me.  So of course this means free strength flasks, which fortunately come from herbs that I have an easier time finding than others.  I also make him an Embersilk bag on my mage and mail it off.

Since the raid tonight did not go down, we form up with Maice, me, Seanjohn, Darth, Stout and run a heroic, and get Deadmines.  That goes fine, though nothing dropped I could use.  I really need to do these daily as I am still only at around 770 valor points.

5 man Dungeons use to be Hard

Today I try again for Throne of the Tides on heroic, and we wipe on trash, wipe on the first boss. This time I did not die last, so it didn’t bug. Then we wipe again. And again. The problem seems to be the dps, with the warlock at 9k, and the DK at 6k, and the mage at 5. The tank gives them a talking to at that point. The DK gets a smart mouth about standing in the spouts too. We wipe again. 43g in repairs. The next time we get it though the DK did die. We get down the next boss, but I lose track of the amounts of times I die in this dungeon. We kicked the DK for “terrible dps”, plus the bad attitude. We do get it finished though nothing I need dropped.

I go and take a look at the valor point priest stuff, and ugly, ugly. Can’t I just keep my blues? Way prettier. I have 2000 honor I have nothing else to do with also so I pick up my shoulders, even though I don’t need a 5 piece set.

After that annoying dungeon I run IoC and we win, then Battle of Gilneas. At one point I saw someone pick up our flag, and without running across the room out to the doorway. Anyway we lose that one. We lose TB too, with people screaming in frustration in raid about how bad alliance is. I really don’t think some people understand just how hard it is to win, at prime time though.

At night I run a 3v3 with Pauldie on his warlock and Janusz, and me on shadow. The rights go pretty fast, overall. I’m not looking to do anything but the minimum right now since I’m still mostly geared for healing. I get the World Wide Winner achievement.

Lladin

The raid was not on tonight so I ran AV with Nilv and Jan a few times until I had enough honor to buy one of a few things but couldn’t decide what.

Then Maice, Lladin and I ran Heroic Deadmines and we got the whole thing run through and I got the achievement. Lladin wasn’t any more pleasant this run, than the first attempt I had at it though. I really must get on running the heroics for gear every day.

Magmaw

I forgot which day it was, but Stout and I got epic gloves drop off Tank, the shark, in Tol Barad.  I gave them to my mage since they were suited for a nuker class more.  So now we both have 1 purple item.

I ran Tol Barad quite a bit the other day, and it seems like a lot of our problems are people not understanding the fight at all.  I keep explaining it as, it’s like Arathi if all the bases were already taken and your side has to take and hold them, all at once.  But over a much larger map.  I see Rayzo quite a bit in these battles, and I wave and such but I’m not sure he remembers who I am.

Today we start off doing Baradin’s Hold, which reminds me quite a bit of the cell-like area that raid boss in Rune Castle, in L2, was kept.  Someone takes out a Guild Page who, unlike the previous squires, looks adult.  I also buy one and get the pets achievement.  Someone says something about having a ‘man toy’ and I joke “that’s how I likes ’em” and say it would be even funnier if it was under “mounts” rather than companions.

Before the raid we get to try out the goblin bbq thing, which seems a little steep in mat cost to keep putting out.

I could have sworn I took a screenshot of the boss, but it’s not in my folder so I guess I did not.

Afterwards we ran Blackwing Descent and shortly after midnight, finally killed Magmaw.  I started off as a raid healer then got put on tank duty.  Still with the tricks holy gets disc shields, which recently got boosted, would have to be pretty good to get past Chakra and such.

It dropped two epics, a leather thing and a mage dagger.  I think a loot council works better than just rolls, which is what this guild is doing, since it takes into account attendance, raid performance, etc.  Having someone show up for the first time,   be annoying and win something over a person that is there all the time, is not really fair.

Today I ran another losing Tol Barad and ran into both Stout, and Rayzo.  I made a clutch save with the guardian spirit on Stout once, and he saved my ass on a horde I had stunned, trying to help another player who just ran off and left me deal with it on my holy spec.

Later that night we tried that Blackrock raid, and made a bit of progress but it was quite hard.

Then I ran a few BGs with Jan and we won AV and EotS.  I did that in my shadow spec and I think I did pretty well.
