Changes to the Tol Barad Guards again

Tonight I queued with Leonz and got one of the new instances, uh, whatever one Hakkar use to be at. I can thank Arashikage, even though I haven’t seen him in ages, for taking me through here before it was ever revamped.

We got the first boss down ok, with me doing about 9k heals (any more would have been stupid), but the boss where Hakkar use to be, we died over and over from the same mistake, repeatedly, which was me getting targeted by 10 mobs and dying instantly. After about 5 deaths I said I quit and left party. It was late, and having 60g in repairs or whatever from a damn instance pissed me off.

The TB guards have been buffed, so if someone attacks you from range, near the guards, they will run out and kick their ass double quick. I found this one when Ladiesman was standing a safe distance from them, and I tossed a SW pain on him, and they shot him, netted him, and beat him to death. So apparently they don’t even have to touch you, for the guards to pay attention. Very nice, I like it. I did not MEAN to get him killed though I honestly had no idea that was tweaked.

Besides that I am noticing some annoying little issues in the new instances and in general. If I am moving and stop, and try to cast a heal or something, half of the time it tells me I can’t do it while moving even though I’ve already stopped. It does this sometimes even when I am just turning my view around. Also when I died and went into SoR, a few times I either couldn’t cast any heals at all because it said I was OOM, it said the skill wasn’t ready yet, or it let me crack off one flash heal, then the buttons did nothing afterwards and I just hung there like a dope until the spirit ran out. Between that and dying so much through no fault of my own (or Leonz for that matter) I got irritated and logged out.

Problim in the Alliance Camp

Some horde trained Problim all the way to the alliance camp the other day, which, wow, I didn’t know he would path that far.

I had an epic TIE game in Twin Peaks where I solo killed a mage and a hunter myself as well.

Last night we tried Heroic Halfus but only gave it 2 tries, then buzzed all the way through to Cho’gall, and I finally got my healing offhand from the Ascendant Council, and got my T11 shoulders, for my 4pc bonus, from Cho’gall.

The shoulders are still ugly.   I was told again my healing is too low, again with comments prior to Cho’gall that we would never be able to heal it unless we had such and such disc healer, etc.  After the raid I was asked to talk to that healer, who doesn’t play holy, so I don’t see how that would help.  I did redo my spec slightly, removing talents that don’t matter any more like the one that lowers the reuse on chakra, and changed two glyphs to have more charges on lightwell, and the 60% boost to the first ping of prayer of mending.

I sent Zukk, that orc unholy DK a message on my horde, with my usual “damn you’re a beast huh” message on it.  They replied that it’s nice to get a good message and not the usual “u suck” stuff.

At my last TB I also ran into Soundwave, a horde paladin I use to see in WG a lot, and also Shayo, who I haven’t seen since WG I think either.

Today I randomly made a new friend, while hanging out in TB at Slag.  Acks (warrior), who was turned into a BE, started dancing with me out of boredom, I returned the favor, they commented that my gear was nice, etc.

Bunch of horde ran in, we held off for a while, started talking back and forth about pvp and such, apparently they have played since classic, had a paladin, has raided, likes to pvp and arena, etc.  They dropped out of their level 3 guild, Exalted with Repairbots, and I invited them since I got a good vibe.  We talked a good part of the rest of the day, including running a few BGs, TB dailies, and WG together.

Ran a few arena with Peejay today also, and came short by about 50 points for my ring, since it was around 5 and he had to go, and so did I.  The teams we had were quite hard as well.  I’m seeing a lot of fire mages in arena lately too.  Mages don’t cause too much trouble for me but the stun dragons breath does, is quite annoying.  Plus polymorph landing over and over with no chance to get out of it that many times is meh.  But, we did pretty good.

Ragefire Chasm

Ladiesman helped me get into Ragefire Chasm today to get the Robes of Devotion, which are so pretty! I’ve been uploading gear shots like crazy to wowhead too. Unfortunately I didn’t notice until after I uploaded it, that my chars eyes were closed XD I’ll have to take another.

Earlier in the week I went back to his team for arena as well, and we lost a few getting back into the swing of it, then we got it together and got my points in. Watching rogues play, a good one, is mesmerizing to me XD

Ran a WG today and was disappointed to see I was the only alliance in the group but the horde already had 4/24 vehicles and had 4 people out and about.  How does that happen?  We had 4 alliance get in and then just leave?  I ended up running into a paladin named Rinni, who is a member of the team I am on Leonz with.  We fought against a hunter, a warlock, and a paladin for quite a long while, and when I mentioned the unfairness of the situation, Janusz joined.

Things went better at that point and we ‘wasted’ the battle fighting 3v3 against Ukko, a shaman, a really bad rogue, and the warlock, until it was just down to the shaman and rogue against Jan and I.  We beat them down after that point.  We kept fighting for at least 20 minutes afterward just for fun and it turns out that Rinni knows Ukko. Small world. I mention that I’ve known Ukko since WG was the place to be and that I thought he was quite good.  Apparently he has a 2100 rating in 2’s.  We do some wargames, which I guess are like skirmishes, but get rolled every single time by Ukko and a paladin, who I learned are brothers.
