Action Nine News

So in the last few days I tried the new  BH raid, Occu’thar.  We had a good group, and although it took us like 5 tries to get it down, everyone was working well together to figure it out.  I always feel watching and reading about the raids is all good but you still have to do it and work together.

Then I joined up with Action Nine News to be on their raid team that goes Fri/Sat 8 to 12.  Those hours work well for me, and 2 days a week raiding I like too.

We tried this guy, Lord Rhyolith, but did not get him.  But, spending an entire night wiping, on new content, is nothing new.  Cauldrons were always set out, fish feast, and everyone was back in and ready to pull again within 1-2 mins after each wipe.

I ran arena with Leonz and although disc/ret pally is just not a good comp in general, we got enough points, combined with my arena points, for me to get my new shoulders.  And after that raid last night I ran TB and ran into Rayzo.

We had a little joke at Slags when everyone left us there, and I said “we got this” then clarified to mean that “by got this I mean, we’ll both get it in the ass in a few minutes” then being a typical rogue, he joked and said it would be just me because he’d vanish and leave my ass there.  Rogues ah, love them.  He didn’t though, and when 20 horde rolled in and kicked out ass he died too, but claimed it was only because he was DoT’d and didn’t have cloak up.  Suuure. But I have a new rogue fan, it looks like, so I’m happy.

Hyjal Quests

Today Firelands hit, and yay, fun!  So first from yesterday I got a 359 ring from a Croc in TB

Secondly I am glad I did all the Hyjal quests so I could see the new firelands stuff.  I’m still not sure I’m into being friends with Horde like Thrall. I mean ok yeah he’s cool, but if I’m gonna be giggly with anyone it’s gonna be Blood Elves mmmkay?

So some bad assed twilight people show up, and kick Thralls ass or something.  Almost feels like playing one of those guys would be fun.  But if Deathwing destroys the world, then what? Just hanging out on an empty white screen?

After that I was transported by this guy

and was dropped at this place where you have to save Thrall, or something.

But I saw something more interesting which was horde, including Zukk and Ukko all flagged.  I tried to throw Ukko off a ledge and ended up helping kill him, , but got killed when he blew me off the edge way into Fatigues-ville.  Came back later and MC’d at least one person off the side and got so preoccupied messing with horde that I haven’t finished that spot yet.  Ladiesman reminded me that TB was on and they were missing me, so I went to that and helped win it.  A new BH raid is out but I didn’t have time to try it.

On the way past the bridge I ran into a horde hunter who I feared, then grabbed with a MC still on his bike, and threw him off the cliff near the bridge.  /flex!  Gosh I never have fraps running for epic junk like that.  I heard there was pvp back at the Hyjal spot so I went back and MC’d an annoying arcane mage off a tree, where they were AB spamming people. Stupid mages.  I died to him and a shaman though since no one else was helping.

Ended up in vent with the team 3 from my old guild took on to discuss some stuff, and they asked me if my mage would like to raid sometimes, I said sure.  I guess the old guild wants to start doing 25m? It’s like uh really? We couldn’t even put together 2 10m teams.  Well, ok.

My Bones

As I understand it, Turnizzle, who was also an officer, quit the guild as well as another person, probably the guy who server transferred.   I know Turn was ticked about not doing heroics that last time because we were missing one person.

Anyway ran a few TB’s today only because Ladiesman was there.  One time we lost, the next time we won, when he came as alliance.  I was allowed to free cast my ass off behind a column in ICG with only token attempts to kill me, and I was defended very well by alliance the entire time too. That was a good win.

Afterwards I got in 2 kills by doing my usual guard trick.   We must have really confused that bbqtwilight warlock since we were both standing around flagged, outside of the guards, not killing each other.  My alliance card, it’s gone, you can hear it being ripped in the wind already.  He did kill me at least once, though.  Today I learned, by him being sassy and saying my skeleton was cute, that draenei skeletons do indeed have a tail bone, and horns.  That’s attention to detail for ya XD

Left Bloodbathed and Beyond

Ran rated bgs today with mostly Action Nine News, since they were looking in trade for a healer. Ran with Soanso who did the trade spamming, Bremen, Attica, Swan, Yeesha, Engelizer, Yuliana, Mauker, Gorgor. Lost AB, won next AB, won TP, lost Gilneas, won Gilneas, won TP. So 4 wins 2 losses and got cap. I was already near cap thanks to VP to CP trades counting towards your cap, but still I prefer healing larger groups.

I also, yesterday, dropped guild on all my characters. Having so many raids cancelled, running with almost an entirely new team, poor participation when I needed a dungeon run, being afraid to ask in guild for a dungeon run since the bads always wanted to come with… just had enough. Also annoying, having the last 5 “heroic” runs either cancelled or turned into normal runs, well, was tired of it. We weren’t going to get any new recruits messing up normal runs so bad either. I just saw a continual loop of getting nowhere is all.

Being guidless opens one up to annoying random invites from low level guilds with no raids done at all. Had one level 2 guild ask me to join and said they could convince me to join, I said I already see you’ve done no raids (not doing that again) and they said we’re raiding right now DUH. See, you already had me at “no raids down” but the duh really topped it. Had another guild just throw me an invite and basically said I should just join because they are awesome. Yes, well, you also have no raids down.

Swan from Action Nine News told me I could join as a casual though, which means there is not a raid spot that needs filling. Their raiding times from wowprogress wouldn’t suit me anyway, I don’t raid on Tuesday and starting at 7:30 wouldn’t work for me. But they are level 25 and good raiders, so the first good offer I’ve gotten. But I’d really need another guild of similar raid times that I had, like 8-11 or 12 fri/sat and maybe a wed/thur. I don’t know. I feel bad about quitting but the frustration I was getting from raiding wasn’t worth it.

I LOVE MIDSUMMER

After stealing all the fires on my shaman, I decided to check my mage and see what I had left to do for the Midsummer fire festival.  All I had was the juggling, so I got that, and now I have the Flame Warden title.  Stout had that way back when as I recall.  Sigh Stout, hope he comes back. Anyway, the outfit with the crown, IS AWESOME!
